Rencah kehidupuan : Bayi buang ...dimana kemanusian?

Sana buang, sini buang. Tiada tempat jadi pilihan...

  9. Apakah kita perlu seminar demi seminar, ceramah demi ceramah, syarahan demi syarahan untuk menyedarkan kita? Apakah kita perlu bertimbun-timbun kertas kerja untuk merangka strategi menghadapi krisis buang bayi? Kalau kita masih dengan longgokan kertas kerja demi kertas kerja, bila pelan tindakan hendak diambil?
  18. Masa belum terlambat untuk kita bersama mengembeling tenaga menghadkan masaalah sosial. Persoalannya, dimana kita bermula dan siapa ketua? Apakah kita masih lagi perlu berketuakan mereka yang dipercayai mempunyai masaalah sosial yang sama? Tepuk dada tanya selera...

    Hingga ketemu lagi...selamat malam M'sia...dimana jua anda berada...

1M PM6 : Smell our suffering ... in KTMB commuter and public transportation

Being an optimist, I eagerly accepted his invitation for an evening out in Subang Jaya. We decided to use public transportation system. It's a mistake. A BIG mistake !

  1. 4 weeks after KTMB : The sauna within was posted, a friend called to ensure me that KTMB has make tremendous efforts to resolve the problems. Being an optimist, I eagerly accepted his invitation for an evening out in Subang Jaya. We decided to use public transportation system. It's a mistake. A BIG mistake !
  2. Recalling that 1M PM6 has visited Petaling street, Brickfield and Kg Kerinchi on 4th April 2009, we mapped out our journey from KL's golden triangle. Which better place to start the journey if not Lot 10, right?
  3. First, we choose RapidKL bus transit system. Since we will be ending our journey in Subang Jaya, we opt to use route B110 to go to KL Sentral. 5 minutes, 10, 15, 45 minutes and no sign of B110. Well, we go for our plan B, use KL monorail system from Bukit Bintang station. Not bad, it is timely but the crowd - let me put it this way, there is no comfort zone between you and the other person next to you. Reminiscense of BMW (Bas mini wilayah), perhaps?
  4. Off we go to Brickfields station and then walked the winding route to KL Sentral. You see, the normal straight route from Brickfields station to KL Sentral has been sealed off to make way for construction works aka development. Imagine all those handicapped people (the blinds and the wheelchair bound) groping and wheeling towards KL Sentral. And it's not near, mind you. There goes the friendly approach of public transportation, at least the infrastructure part.
  5. Things got worse from there...the waiting area were cramped, interwining between the Port Klang bound with those of Seremban bound passengers. Although the platforms for both destinations were separated, at least in terms of rails, but the platform area is not. The platform area is too small, way too small to accomodate the rush hour crowd! And it's hot too...there goes the "efficient planning" of KL Sentral. Passengers were cursing KTMB on this inconvenience, I curse the Con-Sultan (sorry WJ, i borrow your spelling here) for their inconsiderate planning. And for this, the government pay those con-Sultans normal hefty fees of between 12 ~ 15 % of the project cost? These con-Sultans' fees should be deducted for their slipshot crowd-unfriendly planning! If they do not know, they can alsways consult the regular passengers there and I am sure they will be more than willing to give their practical advise.
  6. 5, 10, 15 minutes and the announcement came. Commuter to Port Klang (passing Subang Jaya) will be arriving soon. Good announcement, multi-lingual BUT no indication which line to follow! You see, KTMB has marked different lines for different commuters. Shouldn't the announcement include this ? No, not for those few announcement. Everyone is lining everywhere. Some line up behind the green line, some behind the blue, some behind the red whilst the rest lingerred everywhere. It came, full passengers inside and those inside forcing to go in. If you think that KL monorail is bad, the commuters are worse, let's say 3 times worse than KL monorail. You remember the term sardine-pack? This is worse than sardine-pack!!
  7. So we both decided to wait. 2 commuters trains passed and we were still waiting. Finally, we decided that's it, no more acting like gentlemen. We just follow the crowd on the next commuter train. It's so bad, everyone sweating and sweating.
  8. If Shaziman of Public Works Ministry thought that his 15 minutes wait at the toll plaza is bad, come over to KL around 5.30 pm and experience the peoples' plight. And since Shaziman is not in charge of KTMB, he is welcome to bring along OTK. He can even invite 1M PM6 himself to smell the sweats and see the sea of people in KL Sentral.
  9. If Shaziman is concern with the time wastage waiting at the toll plaza, can he calculate the tome wastage due to waiting time for commuters? Unless, of course, Shaziman is more concern of those driving to work. How many in a car? 1 ir 2...mostly 1 in a car. What about us, commuters and other public transport users? Are we too "ikan bilis" for concern. Those in cars queing up to pay tol has the comfort of air cond, and space, what about these poor souls waiting for commuter trains?
  10. Like previous posting, it has been mentioned that KTMB is aiming for RM1 profit. At least KTMB has the decency to aim for profit, eventhough RM1. PKFZ? They are going for RM 12 B blunder...If only they can divert that RM 12 B to public transport...After all, both KTMB and PKFZ comes under the purview of OTK, the Transport Minister.
  11. And touching back about rapidKL bus that we missed at Lot 10. Who is the person who draw the route? Is he a maze lover? B110 weaver from Bukit Bintang, passed through Jalan Brickfieds, meanders around mid-valley before turning back and off loading at KL Sentral. Based on friendly chat, that trip will take 1 to 1.5 hours during peak hours. Can't rapidKL go for the simplest solution? That of the nearest route between 2 destinations is a straight line! A standard 1 kid knows that...If the route planner is at loss, he can always ask for feedbacks.
  12. I have said my piece and I am still hot. So dear PM, I know you are too busy to read blogs and what more this anon blog. But, if your officers happen to read, please make an effort to contact me and I will be more than willing to bring you along for an "educational" trip from Bukit Bintang to Subang Jaya using KL monorail (belonging to government via Prasarana), KTM commuter (government owned run by KTMB). And 1M PM 6 need not worry. The fares and teh tarik will be sponsored by yours truly. What I ask for is just one request, can we make it during weekdays (Friday being the best) and we do it after the school holidays? That way, 1M PM6, Shaziman and OTK can smell the sweat, see the crowd, feel the frustration of public transport consumers. Am I asking too much, Mr PM?
  13. Say what you want guys, at least I have tried. Whether PM 6 will respond or not depends on his numerous assistants and special officers. And if any of you knows 1M PM6, please pass the message to him...the public has suffered so much and if PKFZ may end up blundering RM 12B, it is time for the government to spend money to improve the public transportation NOW. Talk only without action is driving your supporters away. Please do the right thing, just for once, now...

    Till then...G'nite M'sia...wherever u are...

Anwar : Clean up PKR or else...

It just don't make sense in PKR. Anwar has to clean his act and his house fast before the "political termites" chew the newly-built house down. Seriously...Anwar has to address the issues now or I will mint him as another NATO (No Action, Talk Only)

  1. Some may take it lightly. I don't. It's the spark here, spark there that will ignite into an uncontrolled fire. Anwar should know that. He is, after all, the mother of all firestarters.
  2. 2 news pick up by Malaysiakini perks me up. Well, make it more than 2, thank to Penang N12 Penanti by-election. One is on Aminah's claim that she was offered some financial gains and possibly some cusshy post if she withdraw her candidacy.
  3. No 2 is on Aminah's (again ?) dare to PKR Penang Chief to disclose his involvement in an unsavoury incident in a hotel in Nibong Tebal, 2 years ago.
  4. No 3 is the allegation that an-ex PKR rep who jump ship (where else if not in Perak) complained that he is still not paid in full for his defection to become BN friendly independent assemblyman.
  5. These 3 accusations and allegations are all heavy stuff. It must be addressed by Anwar, as PKR's adviser.
  6. Azmin Ali has brushed the accusations as baseless and in turn labelled Aminah as some old timer dancer. More than that, these accusations and allegations revealed PKR's weakness.
  7. To me, PKR is now acting like another UMNO. If Aminah's first claim is true, then PKR is using financial gains to entice Aminah to withdraw her candidacy. Is that the proper way to act for a party who claimed that they fight for "transperancy"?
  8. On second's accusation regarding PKR Penang Chief, that happens 2 years ago ie circa 2007. That is before the historic 8th March 2008 GE. If the incident happen, my question is simple. If that unsavoury incident can be hidden when PKR is not in power (yet), what stop PKR from abusing their power when they govern the state or the country in the future? The Penang Chief must stand forward to either admit or deny the accusation. This is no longer about personality, this is about the party's image.
  9. In both these cases, Anwar has to step in to settle the issue immediately. Anwar can't afford to hide behind Wan Azizah any longer. Yes, Wan Azizah is the PKR president but every person knows that Anwar runs the show.
  10. What is the problem with PKR? PKR is mainly made up of former UMNO members who quit the party because they support Anwar. UMNO call them Anwaritas. So being former UMNO former members, they act like UMNO. And when PKR won big in 2008, these Anwaritas bare their fangs to take what UMNO had left.
  11. Why did I say so? If you remember Ijok, Permatang Pauh, Bukit Selambau by-elections where BN takes on PR , the atmosphere is tense because of provocations, name callings by both supporters mainly from UMNO and PKR. They know each other so well like the back of their hands.
  12. Aminah, being an ex-PKR Penang Wanita Chief, may know some dark secrets. True or not is immaterial here. It is the perception. I want a clean man and a clean party to rule over me. If the party is as stained as UMNO, then tell me for what reason should I throw my support behind PKR?
  13. I wish, no, I demand Anwar to take action now. Is PKR involved in trying to induce Aminah to withdraw from Penanti by-election? If not, on what grounds are the 2 PKR members talking to Aminah? Ignorance is bliss but to claim ignorance by supreme party member is downright unacceptable. Can supreme party member act on his own in this matter and this issue? Clearly, Anwar failed to discipline his generals...
  14. PKR can claim that Aminah is a disgruntled ex-member. Isn't that line so familiar? It has been used by UMNO countless times. Surely PKR can do better than that.
  15. PKR can also claim that this is publicity stunt by Aminah. PKR can even claim that it is a by-election propaganda. How PKR looks at it, PKR has to address the issue head on because if the issue is not addressed to now, it will re-surface in other by-elections. Remember, Kelantan N41 Manek Urai is next on line.
  16. Now, let's go to the 3rd issue involving the allegation involving an ex-PKR (again) assemblyman turned BN-friendly. Is that true? Is it true that the assemblyman agreed to a deal involving cash amounting to RM 3 million and his charges dropped? If it is, it shows (again) that PKR has not filtered their candidate thoroughly. You can read about this in my earlier posting. It shows and prove that Anwar fails to select the best to serve the people.
  17. Further, if it is true, then Gopeng MP should make a police report followed by MACC report, top up with report to Suhakan and finally to HRH of Perak so that this can be investigated. get the confidante to sign a statutory of declaration (SD) although SD is just a piece of paper. I look into this seriously because if the assemblyman did make that statement, it is clear that 1M PM6 is not living to his promise of a clean government.
  18. Not only that, the existing Perak government is surviving on the support of a "buy out" assemblyman. This is unbecoming (and i refrain from using the word "treason"). If this is true, then HRH has been duped by a selfish assemblyman.
  19. I stand corrected that if the statement is true, then the situation should now be 30 for BN and 28 for PR. BN still has the majority but the majority is tainted with buy-out, the brother of bail-out. That is 1 assemblyman, what if all the 3 assemblyman who turn independents and BN friendly have similar deals. Would it not be 28 BN and 28 PR after discouning the 3 buy outs?
  20. 3 issues. All related to PKR. It is time for PKR to clean its house and get its act together. The cleaning must start from Anwar, by Anwar. Stop throwing stones to other peoples' home, clean your house first.
  21. If this simple thing is not done, Then I think the people should start looking for other alternatives. Yes, we have another 3 years to make up our mind...PKR may not be the only viable alternative...

    Till then...G'nite M'sia...wherever u are...

PKFZ : Finally...green light from cabinet

Updated news II : The report can downloaded at www.pka-report.com. The report will be accessible for a period of 2 weeks effective from 28th May 2009.

Updated news
: 1M PM6 said the report will be released when "everything is in order"
. The big question : will it be today?

Mark the day and mark the time. 28th May 2009 at 3.30 pm. Lee Hwa Beng will reveal the PKFZ report. The question is , will Lee Hwa Beng turn up? Will he finally release the report?

  1. Finally, after weeks of delay and passing the ball around, Ong Tee Kiat announced that the cabinet has agreed finally give the green light to release the PKFZ report in its entirety.
  2. For those who miss the boat, PKFZ was originally tagged at RM 1.8 B in 2002 later believed to ballooned to RM 4.6B and there is concern about recent reports estimated at RM 12 B which is 550% more than the original estimated price. We are not talking profit here.
  3. When and if the report is finally released, there will be questions. For one, BN will be championing that they are transparent, in line with 1M PM6's wish. Is it true? Can we take that at face value?
  4. Will MACC spring into action? Will there be police reports lodged? If yes, who will be the first to lodge the report? AMK? DAP? UMNO?
  5. Glancing through, we can expect that the report will have names like Kuala Dimensi, MCA leaders such as Michael Chen, Ting Chew Peh, Yap Pian Hon, Chor Chee Heung, OC Phang, Ling Liong Sik. UMNO will be there too with names like Azim Zabidi, Abdul Rashid Asaari, Faizal Abdullah, Onn Ismail, Abdul Rahman Palil.
  6. Whilst waiting for the Barcelona - MU final, you can keep awake by reading the special reports here, here, here, here, here, here.
  7. And tomorrow, the truth, as PWC sees it, will be revealed in its entirety. Many of those mentioned will be having sleepless night tonight. Tonight, they will learn a valuable lesson.
  8. Millions of RM will not be able to buy them a good night sleep. At least, for them, they do not have to drink countless cups of coffee to stay awake for the football match. All they have to do is to picture what will happen when MACC comes calling...

1M TM : Why take on the past....

Can we have peace tonight? Just for this one night, can opposing bloggers stay glued to TV instead of laptops? Let's watch Barcelona (Arsenal) beats MU.
  1. I am confused. Before it is so crystal clear. BN on one side, PR on the other. They each defends their party's ideology whilst belittling the opponent party. It is so easy and so straight forward.
  2. Then comes Pak Lah. The equation changes. Those in the opposition are still there but now they have a powerful ally by their side. Yes, pro-BN supporters who dislike Pak Lah "join" the opposition against a common enemy or rather a common sleeper.
  3. 8th March 2008, GE 12 change Malaysian politics. For the first time, the government failed to achieve 2/3 majority. Who became BN's scapegoat? Pak Lah and off he goes in 2009. You think it's over? No, the fun just started...
  4. UMNO GA sees KJ against Khir Toyo against Mukhriz for UMNO youth leader spot. Some support KJ, some Khir, some Mukhriz. It comes to the extent of name calling, curses and whatever in between. And this is amongst UMNO partisans. PR supporters look on in bewilderment. What happen? UMNO implosion?
  5. First, it was Sak against Parpukari. And now, it's WJ Khairy against Parpukari. The common name is Parpukari. So what does Sak and WJ has in common? They are both KJ's admirers. Parpu? He claims to be Mukhriz's number one supporter. So, it's two against one, some sort of handicap match...
  6. Don't get me wrong. I am not here to take sides. If you guys want to go on mauling each other, "go ahead make my day". I learn that phrase from Clint Eastwood's Dirty Harry pictures.
  7. I am not going to touch on macro economics, either. What I want to touch on are leaders. The way WJ is writing, I can assume that he has taken his gloves off and has called off his unilateral ceasefire on Tun M in one of his earlier posting but since WJ is fond of erasing his past entries, that particular posting may be gone by now. Kaput, vanish.
  8. Whether you like it or not, good or bad, better or worse (sound like one of those marriage vow, isn't it?), Malaysians cannot deny that Tun M had helmed Malaysia for more than 20 years. That's a long time, maybe more than half your life. During that time, with lots of petro money, he had transformed Malaysia from the "where is Malaysia?" question to "Oh, is that the country with twin tower?".
  9. Tun M had stamped his marks. Now, you can go to Arab Saudi, Vietnam, Cambodia, Bangladesh, UK, USA, Australia (where RPK is rumored to be in) and the people there will speak highly of Malaysia and of Tun M.
  10. Yes, along the way, Tun M may have lost his focus and gave mega projects to his "friends". Being objective, his friends are not race based. He gave to all. He gave to Halim Saat, Tajuddin Ramli, Al Bukhari. He gave to Eric Chia, Lim Goh Tong, Yeoh Tiong Lay, Vincent Tan. He gave to Ananda Krishnan, Tony Fernandez. He gave to Ting Pek Chiew and countless others in Sabah and Sarawak.
  11. What do he expects from his generosity? He expects these "self made" entrepreneurs to pass the goodies down to average Joes which is you and me. Everybody is suppose to get a piece of cake. Of course, not all can get the icing. Some may end up with bread crumbs.
  12. WJ may say that Tun M lied about economy. I say that Tun M did his best, based on options available to him. Hey...before you shoot me, I am not Tun M's admirer.I, too question his every moves back then. Now that Tun M is no longer in power, I sit back and see what Tun M is for Malaysia.
  13. Of course what he did in 1980's may not work in 2009. Different time, different solution. Back then, Tun M propelled Malaysia to new heights. Yes, we are falling now. It is not because Tun M is not there. It is because now is our time. It is our duty to shore up Malaysia. When I say "our", it means all of us.
  14. You see, Shah Iran did what he thought was the best for Iran. Saddam Hussein did what he thought was the best for Iraq. Heck, even Myanmar junta did what they thought is the best for Myanmar. Talking about Myanmar, if you guys think that Myanmar can do differently, think again. Myanmar has more than 70 ethnic groups. How do you control them? By civilian rule? I don't think so...Myanmar, for the time being, need army control to keep the 70 ethnic groups in check. At the same time Myanmar needs Aung Suu Kyi to work together, hand in hand, with the army to govern Myanmar and guide her through democracy. One question though, why is Myanmar so important to western countries to such an extent that they highlight Myanmar at all possible time? The answer, my friends, is natural resources. That's what they are after and that is why the keep on pressuring Myanmar to open up. Will they do the same for Sri Lanka? Or Laos?
  15. That said, is there any need for WJ to continuously pound in Tun M? Isn't it better if WJ and Parpu to sit together with UMNO leaders to work out strategic plans to push Malaysia to new heights? Again, I said...I don't know Parpu and I haven't met WJ. So I don't even know whether Parpu passed his SRP or LCE or whatever. But think...do you think other self made successful entrepreneurs of Malaysia all have MBA's? It is not just education, my friends. It comes together with experience, hands on knowledge and luck.
  16. So for now, can I see WJ and Parpu easing on each other? Hey, you are supposed to be buddy-buddy wearing the same UMNO flag. If you two guys go for each other's throat, what's left for PR supporters? You want them to go for your balls?
  17. Can both of you go for bilateral ceasefire, at least until MU-Barcelona game tonight? I need some peace and thinks of Mango Lassi which Zorro will be owing me, once Barcelona (Arsenal) beats MU...

    Till then...G'nite M'sia...wherever u are...

It's hujahtime : Husam was supposed to be there, Zahid no show, hereeeee's Ezam...

Zahid Hamidi failed to defend UMNO when he failed to turn up as scheduled in Hujah, a "live" debate program moderated by Prof Agus.

Kickdefella first posted about Husam vs Minister of Defence on 25th May 2009. No, this is not arms wrestling we are talking about. It is about a "live" debate moderated by Prof Agus on TV9. Time 9.30 pm.

Husam, one of PAS's VP has also drafted out his mainpoints for the debate in his blog. Everything is in place. Then, Kickdefella in his posting on 26th May 2009 posted Husam gives Zahid till 7.30 pm.What gives?

There was no answer forthcoming from Zahid Hamidi and by 8.00 primetime news, it is clear that Zahid Hamidi, Minister of Defense will not show up. Instead, Ezam Mohd Nor will stand in for Zahid Hamidi.

Well, say what you want. To this scribe, Zahid Hamidi, UMNO's VP with the most votes is scared. Maybe the debate "Money politics" is too much for him. Anyway, do 1M PM6 make the right decision in putting Zahid as Malaysia's Minister of Defense?

Why choose Ezam Mohd Nor? He quit PKR, left Bersih and offer himself as candidate in Permatang Pauh by-election. He promised to expose BN's corruption with his (unexistent?) 6 boxes of proof. Enough of that, what happen next?

Tit for tat, Husam did not show up for the program and that leaves Ezam alone. Ezam started by saying that corruption is the main problem today and he left Gerak because the government has created SPRM.

Ezam defended SPRM saying that there are many committees controlling SPRM and as such there should not be any selective prosecution.

Ezam admitted that corruption comes from power. Quoting Ibn Khalsun, Ezam said that power begets corruption. He stressed that it is not as bad as it seems. What more, UMNO leaders admit that corruption exist in UMNO and that is a good sign of transperancy from UMNO leaders.

He further stressed that all oppoisition parties like PKR, DAP and PAS, since in power, is also involved in money politics and 2 cases were cited. One is the cows donation during aidil adha and the second is about the use of personal car. However, when pressed on why there is no charges, Ezam replied that it takes time to investigate.

When Prog Agus reminded Ezam that PAS has been in power for the past 17 years in Kelantan and if Ezam's claim of corruption in opposition parties are true, why isn't any of the PAS leaders charged in court. Ezam is dead silent on this.

The golden question to Ezam is on the "6 boxes of proof on UMNO corruption", Ezam sidestepped the question and said that all the boxes are with Anwar and he only knew about the boxes. This is a far cry of his claims in his PKR days.

OK. Let's go point to point form. The actions by SPRM has convinced many that the commission is still on selective prosecution. Ezam could not response to Prof's question on why there are no follow ups to opposition parties reports to SPRM on corruption by BN leaders but super fast in investigating opposition leaders. Beyond that, has we heard of SPRM lately? Since the "blue tape" case in Australia, SPRM seems to be on invinsible mode. No news, no coverage, nothing. Now, with Penanti by-election around the corner, SPRM is looking hard at Aminah's claim of corruption attempts to coerce her to withdraw her candidacy. If it involves corruption, charge the two whilst the case is hot with whatever proof available. Don't wait too long or the trail will be cold.

On Ezam's admission that power begets corruption, it makes me wonder, why does Ezam choose to go along with UMNO when his admission is already there? Why join a corrupted party? And it is worse when the fact is he joined UMNO when PR is still in opposition ie before 8th March 2008. Is he walking the talk or is he joining UMNO for financial rewards? Ezam should know himself better...It is also shameful for me when Ezam quoted Ibn Khaldun on corruption. If what Ezam say is true, he is implying that all muslims, who are in power, are corrupted. Is that true? Ezam has done injustice to himself and drag all Muslims into it as well. Ezam should clarify his points further, or else he will leave bad imprints on other Muslims who are not corrupted.

On his accussation that PAS, DAP PKR are also corrupted, he should substansiate with facts and figures. Merely quoting disgruntled reps, hearsays and general statements will not buy him any supporters. Not from me, at least.

All in all, I pity Ezam. He is now the scapegoat. Zahid Hamidi is scared to face Husam so who does Zahid call? Ezam. And who is Ezam? For now, he is nobody.He was PKR youth chief, he was Gerak chairman...he was...he is persona non grata...

Till then...G'nite M'sia...wherever u are...

1 M 2 PPP : Any which way but loose...

  1. Barely a week ago. T Murugiah was expelled from People's Progressive Party (PPP) with 6 others. On 24th May 2009, T Murugiah is "elected" as President of PPP. Is PPP aping MIC when Samy Vellu ousted the late Pandithan?
  2. How can this happen? More so PPP is a component party of BN. Will Malaysia see 2 PPP? PPP (K) lead by M Kayveas and PPP (M) led by T Murugiah. If that happens, Malaysia is going India's way when India has 2 Indian National Congress (INC) where one is known as New Congress and the other is known as INC (O).
  3. Let's try to understand what happen...
  4. It is understood that 1,762 delegates attended a specially-arranged emergency meeting in Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) where they passed a resolution to appoint T Murugiah as PPP's president.
  5. How can they proceed with the emergency meeting when the real President and his committee members were not informed of the meeting? Is this the PPP way?
  6. The current PPP youth chief was said to be in PICC and has asked PPP proper to remove him from the post on the pretext that he is not healthy.
  7. Can they do that? Is it pre-planned? Why PICC? And why were there policemen at the meeting? It looks too good to be an ad-hoc meeting...
  8. After this it will be a race to the ROS and see who gets there first. Who will submit what,? Who wants what? And most important, which group will be recognised by ROS as the official PPP?
  9. Accepted that M Kayveas may not see eye to eye with T Murugiah but the way the resolution is passed is pure absurd. If any Tom, Dick and Harry can do that, what will stop others to follow their footsteps and oust the leaders of UMNO, PAS, PKR, DAP, MIC etc?
  10. What is more damaging is T Murugiah is a deputy minister in the PM's department. If he is behind the move, then how should PM 6 reacts? After all, M Kayveas is still the legal president of PPP.
  11. If PM6 recognise M Kayveas as PPP's president, then it is time for him to sack T Murugiah as T Murugiah is a part-less man. If PM6 accepts Murugiah as the installed PPP's president then he is telling Kayveas to buzz off. Which is PM6's way?
  12. Will this leads to 2 PPPs? One lead by M Kayveas, the other by T Murugiah.
  13. More than that, is this a pre-planned move by both M Kayveas and T Murugiah? Since PPP do not know whether to remain in BN or to climb on board PR, the best way is to go for both thus 2 PPP.
  14. Any which way GE 13 goes, PPP has their names there.
  15. If PM6 stick to M kayveas over T Murugiah, then the latter has to resign as deputy minister. If PM6 choose Murugiah, Kayveas better makes a fast move to PR.
  16. Kayveas is feeling the heat now. Maybe, that's what you get when you call others as "monkeys in a cage". And if you do not know what that is all about, you can always ask the ever helpful Vell Paari. Who know you might end with a luxury car and nice apartment, courtesy of Vell Paari...
  17. Then again, KS Nallakarupan of MIUP is acting more BN than BN. MIUP is still not admitted in BN but KS Nalla is blasting opposition party leaders. Is BN kicking PPP out to make way for MIUP? Here, in Malaysia, any which way is possible but loose...
  18. By the way, when Nalla blasted opposition party leaders, he is actually blasting UMNO, MCA, MIC, PPP, PAS, DAP, PKR. The only few parties not involved are MIUP, IPF etc because they are not a component of either BN and PR where BN is opposition in PR-held states and PR is opposition in BN held states.
  19. In a way, KS Nalla is blasting his own party - oh..what a guy...

Rencah kehidupan : Pesta seks...kemana halatuju kita?

Dongeng ? Rekaan? Fantasi ?

Come bare under the moonlight’’.

Sekiranya bukan kita, siapa?, sekiranya bukan sekarang, bila? sekiranya bukan disini, dimana?

Sehingga ketemu lagi...selamat malam M'sia...dimana jua anda berada

1 Perak : 3 -0 ...legality rules, morality loses...

1. 3-0, 0-3, 3 out of 3, 0 out of 3. This is not soccer result. This is how you can look at it with regards to 22nd May 2009 appellate court decision regarding who is the rightful MB of Perak. All it takes is 5 minutes to devastate those who supported democracy and peoples' wishes

2. STAR writes "Zambry declared Perak MB" , Malaysia today quoted TV antara "the decision by the 3 judges of appellate court is extraordinary".

3. The ball is now back to MB Nizar. It is his choice either to appeal right up to the federal court or to let the issue rest at that. Knowing PR, MB Nizar will appeal. That is his right and that is Malaysia's judiciary process.

4. The unsolicited view is, if the federal court sits to hear MB Nizar's appeal, the decision will be the same ie the federal court will upheld the appellate court decision. Period.

5. So, what do we learn out of Perak constitutional crisis? Many. Let's objectively try to understand the judgement and its implications...
  • Perak constitution in particular and Malaysian constitution in general, has 2 parts, that of explicit and implicit intentions. The explicit meaning is what that has been scribed out in words and penned down. The implicit intention is not penned down and the meaning is subject to the interpretation of the law. In this particular case, HRH Perak ruler has the hidden powers to judge on who has the majority and he further has the power to supercede whatever earlier installation HRH made;
  • HRH did not need any resignation letter to appoint a new MB (and maybe speaker) . All HRH can do is to appoint a new MB, from a group or combination of groups whom HRH is personally satisfied has a clear majority;
  • HRH need not satisfy himself that the representative(s) are socially, morally, criminally clean;
  • BN, in special cases, willingly accept support if that support is beneficial to them. As far as BN is concerned, the ends justify the means;
  • BN is a law abiding party and as such choose legally correct over morally correct;
  • EC and the courts do not recognise any post dated letter of resignation if it signed "under duress" meaning that rakyat's job and power is only during the election day. After that day, the elected rep can freely choose either to remain loyal to his party or shift his allegiance to others;
  • The political party has no right to dictate their terms to their elected reps, whatever political funds and political resources used during the election will not bind the rep to the party;
  • Elected reps can hop from one party to the other as many times as he wants and nobody can stop him from hopping;
  • The rakyat has no say once the election is over. Your elected rep can do whatever he whims or fancies;
  • Whatever letter of undertaking is invalid, if it is signed "under duress";
  • In judiciary system, there are different sets of procedures for different people. There is an "express" procedure for some whilst there are "normal" procedures for others;
  • Even 1 judge can sits and make decisions in appellate court because 1 is still an odd number;
6. The list can go on and on. The gist of the landmark decision is that the judges are looking into legally right over morally rights. It is legally right for MB Zambry to govern the state because he has the majority.

7. It is also legally right for MB Zambry to continue to perform as MB of Perak eventhough the correct procedures are not adhered to, as long as HRH has consented. That is because HRH has the right to interpret the implicit unwritten part of the Perak constitution.

8. For PR supporters, do not give up hope. There is always tomorrow. For now, PR should do some self evaluation on certain issues :
  • PR must filter their candidates properly and weed off questionable characters;
  • PKR, as the youngest party, should not join the bandwagon and "demand" seats if they do not have credible candidates;
  • In the event that PR wins the state (or federal) government, they have to ensure that the top and crucial administrative are in line with their aspirations. They may choose to request for the officials to be replaced (not terminated) to have friendlier administrative officials;
  • PR should not instigated their supporters to demonstrate at decisions that may not favour them;
  • PR should understand the sensitivity of certain issues and work on it;
  • PR needs to strengthened their political base and support now in preparation for future elections;
  • Money and power can change people. PR should lean the hardlesson by now;
  • PR should educate themselves on how to be responsible governments and how to react, under provocation;
9. As a consolation to PR, PR can walk out of court with their heads held high. They have won the peoples' support and this is the time to work for the state and the nation. The judiciary may not be at PR's side now. Let it be...let it go....tomorrow you have another day...

10. Let the people judge them for what they are. PR should now act responsibly and work for the rakyat. For the time being, be good opposition. BN can twist and turn but they cannot run. GE 13 will surely comes. Perak will be PR's for the taking and BN for the defending.

May the best man wins in GE 13...now wake up from your dreams, PR..back to work. BN, now is the time for you to regain the trust that you wasted in GE 12. BN or PR, I don't care...give your best for Perak.

Oh, before signing off, it matters not what the BAR, ex-judges, opinions polls say...Malaysian courts do not listen to any of them. Do any of the 3 judges plus CJ has a good night's sleep last night?

Till then...G'nite M'sia...wherever u are...

Blogs registering : Of neccesity, overseeing, blocking...and suing

1.. Rais "I burn the bridge" Yatim comes up with another headliner ie "registering bloggers". Is that the best move? Is it necessary?

2. Malaysian Insider datelined 21st May 2009 mentioned on proposal for bloggers in Malaysia to be registered. He further said that it is a good idea. He will see whether registering bloggers is in line with the existing provisions and laws.

3. When other free nations of the world are promoting internet use, blogs and whatever forums to discuss far reaching issues, from politics to domestics to pets and gardening, we are looking into taking a step backward by getting bloggers to register.

4. And how do you propose to do that? Monthly renewal? yearly renewal? lifetime renewal? And how do you expect to regulate it? Blogs come in many shapes and size. How do you classify them? Do you catalogue them like that of a library?

5. Is this the best Rais can do after having dinner with 50 Malaysian bloggers in Sri Melayu in April 2009?

6. My question - why Malaysian bloggers need to register? What if non-Malaysian bloggers post damaging write ups on our leaders and our culture? How do Rais planned to take action? At least with Malaysian based bloggers around, there might be a few who may rebut unfriendly comments from non Malaysian bloggers. Or has Rais concluded that there are less BN friendly bloggers ?

7. Rais, the PhD holder, should subscrbe to the idea of free flow ideas. That's the way to move forward. Registering Malaysian bloggers may be good, I don't know but is it necessary? If Rais starts registering bloggers, what about the commentators? Are they subject to registering too?

8. Rais is acting like big brother, dictating bloggers movement. He is afraid oh his own shadows...That's the way I see it. He is reading too much sci-fi novels...

9. Of course, there are some blogs that I have come across which, to me, is unsuitable. Even that, as responsible adults, readers can differentiate which blogs they choose. Some are x-rated, some are degrading, some survive on other peoples' mistakes.

10. Blogs are nothing but the logs of the author. He may choose gardening today as his subject and he can turn it into sports the next day. Is he wrong? So far, Malaysian blogs have not breached the extreme. Have you ever heard of Malaysian blogs calling for mass suicides like those recently in Korea?

11. If blogs need to be registered, why not extend it to register facebooks too? what about emails? Do we have to put all the information into our Mycard chips?

12. I don't know about you guys. I am strongly against registering blogs. Maybe that's my nature...

13. I also wish that Rais will not go through with the proposal of registering blogs. 2MBs', 2 speakers has already made us a laughing stock, registering blogs may put us back to stone age...

14. I state my stand, and you guys can state yours...Rais has been known to "burn" bridges so is he burning another bridge>

1 Selangor's PR : 1 for you, 1 for me...that's what you see

Updated news : LKS says Selangor state assembly should not suspend Khir. - Malaysian insider (23rd May 2009)
1. PR claims that they serve the people. Is suspension one of them?

2. Malaysiakini reported that former MB Khir Toyo was slapped with one year suspension from the house. The Selangor assembly's powerful rights and privileges committee suspended Khir Toyo for his absence from Balqis enquiry and for criticising SELCAT in his blog.

3. Now, when is the effective date of the suspension?
Will it be from 20th May 2009 or will it take effect after his suspension is discussed during the assembly sitting scheduled in July 2009? And if it will take effect from July, isn't the rights and privilege committee jumping the gun?

4. Is this tit for tat? BN had suspended Teng Chang Kim for 30 months in 2005 when he was the state assemblyman. Back then, Teng threw the standing order into the waste paper basket. Now that Teng is the current chairman of the assembly’s Rights and Privileges Committee, is he dishing out his "revenge"?

5. Think about it. Which of the wrongdoing is more serious, throwing the standing order or failing to attend the Balqis enquiry? I would say that throwing the standing order is more serious offence. Here, rightly or wrongly, Teng had insulted the assembly when he threw the standing order into the waste paper basket.

6. PR has govern Selangor since March 2008. They have Selangor Select Committee on Competence, Accountability and Transparency (Selcat) for better governance. The problem is,has Selcat achieved what it is suppose to do? Is it an open license for witchhunts? Is it only meant for past mistakes and misuse? What about present abuse of power? Is PR so perfect that they have not abuse power at all? If they never abuse power, then we all must be in Xanadu...

7. Khalid's Selangor has time and time again is at odds with BN especially with Khir Toyo. Is it turning into a personal vendetta? After Khalid, now its Teng's turn to turn the heat on Khir. After them, who else is in line?

8. PR should do some soul searching and prove that they are not on specific witchhunt against Khir. PR, as Selangor's government of the day, can do much better than that. Continual victimising Khir is not good to PR.

9. Khir may be guilty for failing to turn up during the Balqis enquiry but is suspension the last resort? I am sure there are other options and alternatives available to the committee. Unless, of course, the committee decided to choose the harshest punishment available. You decide...If all else fails, the committee can always pass their findings to the police for further investigations. That can be done, isn't it?

10. On Khir's continual criticising Selcat, he maybe wrong. But then again, even Lim Kit Siang, Anwar Ibrahim continually criticise federal government through their blogs and yet they are not called to face the committee. So why double standard treatment for Khir Toyo?

11. PR harped about their justice and fairness. When things don't go PR's way, it is double standard so what do you call when PR do it to BN? Fair? Serves them right? Must it always be "they against us" attitude?

12. We can go on and on on this but suffice to say that this must stop now. PR or BN, I don't care, they should go for "people first, performance now". I rest my case.

Till then...G'nite M'sia...wherever u are...

1M PM6 : So many problems, so little options...

1. When it rains, it pours. The people has send a strong message to BN, better buck up or else...

2. With that "get up" warning, BN works overtime to arrest their slide. And 1 year after, we see new presidents leading UMNO, Gerakan and MCA. Malaysia even has new 1M PM6 who took his oath of office on 3rd April 2009.

3. The new presidents promise reforms within their own parties whilst MIC, PPP and other BN component parties take a "wait and look" approach. They may change their presidents or the presidents may hang on to their posts, despite losing in 8th March 2008 election.

4. For the time being, the chips are down for BN. Apparently, even BN component parties are hounding the PM in a bid to strengthened their position.

5. Kayveas of PPP has taken steps to sack T Murugiah, the only PPP representative in PM6's cabinet. On top of that, Kayveas has gone 1 step further to propose Murugiah's replacement when PM6 has not even decided whether to retain Murugiah or not. Case of 1 upmanship by Kayveas?

6. Next comes Gerakan. Teng Hock Nan of Penang Gerakan urged PM6 to consider allowing communist Chin Peng to return to Malaysia. His reasons? Chin Peng is no longer a security threat.

7. If PPP can, MIC also can. Vell Paari, MIC VP aspirant cum Samy Vellu's son reportedly asked Kayveas (again?) to provide an explanation on the Kayveas remark calling MIC - monkeys in a cage.

8. MCA? They also has theirs. With their members helming PKA and PKFZ, all is not well there. PKFZ chief executive resigned whilst PKFZ Chairman still cannot produce the audit report on Port Klang Free Zone whilst the minister in charge cum MCA president, OTK, is passing the buck to the cabinet.

9. SPDP's Tiong King Sing who is also BN's BBC's chairperson has a controlling stake in one of the companies dealing with PKFZ.

10. Sabah's Musa Aman is stuck with Mazu statue. For this time, I am leaving out Taib mahmud as he is still grieving on the loss of his wife to cancer.

11. There you have it. How will 1M PM6 steer his way out with so many problems facing him and BN? And Perak political impasse is not included yet.

12. Will PM6, with his back on the wall, begin to take decisive action to stop BN's rot? Will BN components continue hounding him so that they can find an excuse to abandon BN and make a beeline to PR?

13. If the first 30 days on PM6 is interesting, wait for the next 60 days and see what he is made of. Man of steel or just a paper tiger...

14. PM6 has few options but he has to juggle carefully or else the eggs will be breaking on his face. He has to show Kayveas who is the boss, corraled in Gerakan within BN's understanding against communism, reprimanded MIC on hearing hearsays, allow MCA to publish PKFZ report...

15. Right now, he has nothing to lose but lots to gain. As said earlier, let's see what PM 6 is made of...

OTK's KPI : Tomorrow never comes...not for PKFZ's report, at least.

Updated news : STAR datelined 21st may 2009 reported that MACC has started investigation into PKFZ controversy

Malaysiakini datelined 21st may 2009 reported that PKA given the greenlight to issue letter of indemnity to PWC but the letter will not fully protect PWC
.

Tomorrow never comes. That's what I learn in school and I trust Ong Tee Kiat (OTK) also learn the same. Afterall, we are all Malaysians, aren't we?

Today, SUN reported that the Port Klang Authority (PKA) GM and PKFZ Chief Executive has quit. His resignation will be formally discussed when the PKA board meets on 21st May 2009.

What gives? Is it something to do with Lim Thean Shiang, the PKFZ Chief Executive's briefing to BN's backbenchers? Is it something related to the upcoming PKFZ report due out soon?

And talking on PKFZ's report prepared by PWC, it is further delayed. New date? Unknown. Reason given? PKA is waiting legal opinion from Skrine & Co legal firm, whom PKA appointed on Monday. That's what fast tracking means to PKFZ's Lee Hwa Beng.

Last week, Lee Hwa Beng's excuse revolved on PWC's request for Letter of Indemnity. The week before, it was something related to OSA. What will be Lee's excuse next week? Nobody to announce the report since PKFZ's Chief Executive has quit? Or better still, Lee Hwa Beng hospitalised again?

Say what you want. I see Lee Hwa Beng dragging his feet. I see OTK's promise of tomorrow and tomorrow never comes...

OTK, where is your dedication to "People first, performance now"? The report has been 3 weeks overdue. What is OTK's definition on "now". Does "now" stands for tomorrow and tomorrow never comes???

I rest my case. You guys decide...

Nizar: My take is no dissolution...just by-elections...

It seems that MB Nizar still did not get it. He just could not seeks for Perak state assembly dissolution. Why? I tell you why...

It is reported in STAR that Nizar ask for dissolution of Perak state assembly when he had audience with Raja Nazrin yesterday. To request for dissolution is one thing but to be granted with dissolution is another.

My question is why is Nizar going for dissolution when what he can do is to request HRH's intervention to get the 3 (Behrang, Changkat Jering and Jelapang) to vacate their seats? MB Nizar's should demonstrate that he cares for Perak and offer a pragmatic solution to the whole political impasse.

Whilst it should be agreed that the 3 may not want to vacate their seats but MB Nizar should present his facts right to Raja Nazrin by pointing out that the whole Perak mess arisen from the 3, with a little bit of help from EC. MB Nizar shouls use the opportunity to point out why should the whole of Perak be blamed for the misdeeds of these 3? Further, once the 3 seats are vacated, 3 separate by-elections can be called and the winner, either BN or PR, takes it all. I mean governing the state not to take all the 59 seats...

This will be less taxing to the rakyat, less strenous to both BN and PR, less burden to both EC and the police. The only person who may not like it, since he loves the limelight, is Anwar Ibrahim.

Granted that it is not the royalty's duties to "pursuade" the 3 to vacate their seats but for the love of his state, HRH may do it. After all, out of the 3, 2 of them (Behrang and Changkat Jering) have tremendously offended the Muslims who HRH as the head of Perak's religous body can act. Both of them equate "sexual favours" to "sedekah". This is a big no no! By their previous statements of acknowledgements alone, HRH can either banish them or strip them of any titles formerly bestowed to them. That will send a strong message to the masses and politicians that HRH is dead serious in protecting Islam as the official religion of Perak.

Why MB Nizar seeks for dissolution is beyond comprehension. Granted that he has the right t seek dissolution but that will be a big disservice to the rakyat of Perak. Yes, PR smells blood and like the predatory shark, PR is circling for the kill. But will it be "overkill"?

Let's say that MB Nizar gets his wish and HRH dissolves the Perak state assembly and PR wins big. Will that solved the problem? How sure is PR that people of (Osman, Jamaluddin and Hee) their calibre will not be in PR's lineup? Looking at recent records, Anwar has failed to filter out the problematic reps, thus the need for by elections on Bukit Selambau and Penanti. Problematic reps here does not covers only bribery but also individual moral standing, individual performance record, internal bickering etc...So why should PR push the people to go through the process again, when the failure, in the first place, is PR's failure to select the correct candidates.

If, by chance, PR wins big and wins by more than 2/3 majority, what is the significance? Will rakyat be deprived of watchful opposition lawmakers to keep the government in check? Will it let the PR to do witchhunt like what it does in Selangor?

Admitted that PR is popular now. It is the gravy of the month. But PR must take one step at a time. Prove that PR is transparent and place the rakyat's interest before self. If PR can do that, then PR can ask for more in GE 13. For the time being, PR should be contented to governing Perak with 31 for, 28 against.

Put it this way, even if the appellate court goes MB Nizar's way on 21st may 2009, he should seek the same action from HRH. And he can also present the same solution to Najib and Zambry. Najib and Zambry will jump to this offer and will readily volunteer to get the 3 to vacate their seats. Reason? 28 seats for BN is better than 17 seats (if BN can manage to win 17 seats). This, in itself is a golden handshake between PR and BN and I love to witness the occassion, live.

If teh appellate court goes MB Zambry's way? Then it will be a long 3 years for BN...

Some may like what it is said here, some may not whilst the rest just don't care...so what is your stand?

1 Malaysia : Where to now...Hindraf?

1. Don’t be fooled by the cards! BN may be retreating but their retreat is a strategic retreat. Don’t be foolhardy and rush down the slopes to claim bounties, BN may be maneuvering to outflank the opposition.

2. The trap is still there. Waythamoorthy should not be too heroic to put his demands. Who is he to think that he can get what he wants? Is he fighting for Hindraf’s cause or is he thinking about his brother’s welfare when he issued the statement?

3. You see, the other 4 Hindraf leaders met the advisory panel. That’s the right thing to do. There’s nothing sinister about it. After all, the advisory panel meets every 6 months and it’s a routine procedure for the panel to meet ISA detainees and former detainees.

4. Hindraf must be realistic now. They have make their points and has their fair share of degrading Malaysia abroad. It is time to talk across negotiating table, with both BN and PR. After all, they claim that they are a movement and not a political party.

5. Hindraf 5 have paid for their sacrifice. But at the same time, we have to abide by the laws. Is there anything wrong if the Authorities request P. Uthayakumar to make himself available at Kamunting? There is nothing wrong with that.

6. There is no provision that says ISA ex-detainees are above the law or untouchable by law and need not accede to Authorities’ request. What Waythamoorthy is doing is going on collision course against the Authorities. Is that the right strategy? No, it is not. So what is Waythamoorthy’s strategy? Is he attempting to make an icon out of his brother? If he plans that, then again he is dead wrong.

7. 2009 is far different from 2007. Back then, Hindraf has the support of thousands. Now, barely 2 years later, Hindraf supporters are in different camps. Some return to MIC fold, some follow Theran, some joins PR, some remains outside. In short, HIndraf has lost most of its members. Waythamoorthy may not notice it since he is too far out and detached from Malaysian scene. He is too busy canvassing for Indian parliament support, asking for British support on Malaysia’s domestic issues that has no relevance to both India and Britain.

8. In 2007, the movement has support because the march was organized soon after Bersih rally. The euphoric feeling of successfully outwitting the Authorities to send the declaration to HRH YDP is still there. And the aftereffects help Hindraf’s cause.

9. In 2009, PM 6 has said it “people first, performance now”. Hindraf should capitalise on this and talks to BN before the slogan gets cold. That’s what Hindraf should do. Instead, Hindraf’s Waymoorthy choose to issue warning to Malaysian authorities. This is the case of 2 months too late. Waythamoorthy may be kicking his ass as he is unable to capitalize on his “arrest “ since he has none. So, he choose the next best, by issuing ultimatum to the authorities. And he do it from far away land. He does not put his dare on Malaysian soil. That in itself shows that he is not a “true” Hindraf fighter.

10. What Waythamoorthy should do now is to return to Malaysia and face the music, if there is any. Then he should be consolidating with Hindraf 5 on their next move. First in the agenda should be to meet with all Indian based parties and list out their needs and present them to Malaysian government, and not to third parties Government unless Waythamoorthy feels that he deserved the third party’s citizenship. If that what he wants and opts for, by all means, go for it….

11. The choice is there. Waythamoorthy’s choice may differ from Hindraf’s needs. If the difference is too great, maybe Waythamoorthy has to part with Hindraf…

1M PM6 : No to Penanti, now for Behrang, Changkat Jering and Jelapang...

Who dares Penanti?

  1. BN has decided. BN will not contest for Penang N12 by election. It is a unanimous decision by BN supreme council.
  2. For that, Anwar can brag as much as he wants. Afterall, give a politician a microphone and he can go on talking till the cows come home. That, in a nutshell, how long a politician can last with a microphone in hand.
  3. Now, let's see how many aspirant independents will show up on 23rd May 2009. And how many PR supporters will make the journey to Penanti.
  4. But that is not what this posting is all about. This posting is about Perak and how BN can go about it, with minimal political damage and a sort of "win-win" situation to all involved with the rakyat's welfare superceding that of politicians.
  5. Now for strategy 101, free of charge to BN this time. Whilst PR is busy campaigning for Penang N12, which they will handsomely wins and later celebrates Dr Mansor's elevation to Penang's Deputy CM, BN strikes. 3 vacancies at the same time.
  6. Behrang, Changkat Jering and Jelapang vacated their seats. Afterall, these 3 are goners. They can never be accepted by their constituents now. Immediately after the speaker, better still 2 speakers receive their resignation letter, the speakers informed the EC on the vacancies.
  7. In lightning speed, EC will set the by election dates. And off goes BN, PR looking for suitable candidates. The stakes are high. Whoever wins 2 out of 3 seats will get the grand prize of - Perak state. As simple as that.
  8. BN's campaign strategy? Well, I have a few up the sleeve but one thing for sure, it is not in line with WJ's defcon.
  9. PR's campaign strategy to counter BN's campaign strategy? Yes, have that too. Have to make Zorro pleased too since he's upset with BN for spoiling his "blue blitz" trip to Penanti. At least now, he can watch his MU team being defeated by Barcelona at his homey comfort.
  10. Alas, for a while Sak will be grounded in Pahang since he has no excuse to go to Penanti. See how much can be saved when BN did not participate in Penang N 12?
  11. It will be carnival time in Perak whilst campaigning for the 3 vacancies. Can I suggest that we make it during this coming school holidays?

Commentators: Anons or not...be responsible

1. Don’t get me wrong. I believe in freedom of expression. Yeah, to me, you can express your opinions in issues close to your hearts. But, I did not condone the use of foul language, obscenities, use of four lettered words.

2. Since Perak political circus, there is a marked increase in profanities and vulgarities used that finally forced the webmaster to shutdown the “royal” portal. And for record, those profanities and vulgarities were spurted out by anons commentators.

3. Now, it seems that Malaysians sopo blogs are no longer used for healthy postings and matured discussions. Healthy postings are not pro-government postings but postings with contents and purposes. Some promote PR, some glorify BN, few remains apolitical, whilst the rest choose their own agendas and issues.

4. I did not follow too many blogs but I trust that the blogs that I follow are quite well spread and represented. I read Al Banjari for PR news in Perak, anilnetto for his on-line live coverage of events, kickdefella for his witty content, Nobisha as my portal to other sopo blogs, penarik beca for his off the line postings, rockybru for his online news, sakmongkol for his frank views on UMNO, the broken shield for Sarawak’s issues, Wenger Khairy for his strategies and Zorro for his wisdom. So, my bloglist covers a wide spectrum of different ideas, both pro and against.

5. What troubled me most is the choice of words use in commenting. Such words as B*** is taboo to Muslims. A big NO NO but some commentators use it freely like the flowing river. Case in point is barking magpie using it to sakmongkol. Both are registered to be BN supporters so is there any need to call your political colleague with that? I hope that the name calling will not degenerate into alleyfights as I fear barking magpie will be “tomoied” senseless by Sak and finished off with his AK47. 1 model blowup is enough for Malaysia, we do not need a riddledbullet holes in a magpie…do we?

6. Another case in point is parpukari, the selfstyled “donalduck fighter” from UMNO’s BPN? In his “Aku cabar kau Nizar” posting, parpukari and his sworn nemesis Chairman Kaga traded barbs in the comment box which is unnecessarily nauseating at best. I did not know parpukari nor do I know Charman Kaga but their antics is unbecoming, to me at least. It is not my habit to comment on others but as a response, I commented in parpukaris

Chairman Kaga,

7. You have to have a sense of responsibility for what you write and commented. Anons or not is your choice. However, as responsible commentators, anons should provide access for blogowners to reach them and discuss in private forums and discussion if they feel that it is necessary. We are all matured adults, aren't we? Or is there anyone outside happens to be a child trapped in an adult body???

8. It is beyond one’s understanding why the commentators in some blogs prefer to use all the foul language and profanities. Be it blogs that support BN or PR. Is this dual personality? Is it a way to let off steam? I guess Freud will relate the phenomena to their childhood experiences.

9. If internet is the domain of the “educated” to express their stands in certain issues, then it is clear that education and upbringing did not go hand in hand. Or maybe the profanities and foul languages are the expressions of closeted personalities suppressed in one’s self?

10. Noone is stopping anybody from commenting. Some may agree, some may disagree because “rambut sama hitam, hati lain lain”. Important thing is we have to respect others for their opinions and if their opinions are not in line with yours, that does not give us the license to use foul language and profanities.

11. I have said my piece. You may agree and you also has the right to disagree. But I hope you agree with me that blantant use of foul language and profanities is not in Malaysian’s accepted way of life because “Bahasa jiwa bangsa”…

Till then…G’nite M’sia…wherever u are…

Clamouring for Indian's support : MIC, PPP, IPF, MUIP and

1. First, there is MIC (Malaysian Indian Congress) formed in 1946. Next come PPP (People Progressive Party) formed in 1953 followed by IPF (Indian Progressive Front) then MIUP (Malaysian Indian United Party) and now MMSP (Malaysian Makkal Sakhti Party).

2. Looking at the number of Indian based parties, one may think that Indians make up a sizeable population in Malaysia. However, a quick look into factbook indicated that Indians make up of only 7 % of 25.7 million ie. 1.8 million of the total population.

3. Assuming that 70 % of them are within the voting age bracket, that will be 1.2 millions. Cutting down further and assuming that 70 % (that is a very high figure) are active members to political parties, that will be 840,000.

4. Now, MIC claimed that their membership stands at 630,000. That leaves 210,000 active members shared within the balance 4 Indian based parties.Wooaa! That comes to approximately slightly above 50,000 per party. And yet, IPF claimed that they have 380,000 members.

5. Although PPP claimed that they are a multi-racial party, PPP's core supporters are Indians. That said, unless the Indians are multi-party practitioners, it's getting crowded for Indian based political parties.

6. The latest boy in town, MMSP, whose party got its registration approved last week will have a lot of catching up to do. First, it has to come out of the original Makkal Sakhti movement and made clear that Makkal Sakhti movement of Waymoorthy is not the same as Thanenthiran's MMSP. Second, Thanenthiran should be seen fighting for the Indians and not for his own political survival. For the record, Thanenthiran unsuccessful lobby to be PKR's candidate for Bukit Selambau led him to leave Makkal Salkhti proper to form his own political party.

7. Thanen's statements sounded like a sore loser. Rejected as Bukit Selambau, he is pinning his hopes on "Makkal Sakhti"'s slogan. So far, he has not offered anything different. His indication is that he is unhappy with PR.

8. Whatever it is, it is too crowded in there. The cake is small and the players are one too many. Someone will soon bite the dust. And before doing so, that someone is hoping to score big with BN. Maybe, some cash in line in return for short temporary fame on Penanti's stage?

9. Thanen can do it, Nalla can do better. Both of them combined can shave few millions from BN's rich coffers. Samy cannot do it, Kayveas can only think about it since both of them are already in BN's payroll. IPF? Still in limbo rock....

10. In the end, who will the Indians turn to in Penanti? BN or PR? Maybe Waymoorthyu will show the way....

PKR : Anwar dipersimpangan...satu penilaian.

Anwar kini dipersimpangan dilema.

They goes to the highest bidder.

Kejayaan Anwar mengumpul PKR, DAPdan PAS dibawah satu bumbung adalah kerana persamaan mereka menentang "the common enemy" iaitu jentera politik BN.

Melayu mudah lupa - Mahathir Mohamed
tetapi Melayu sekarang Melayu zaman internet.

Keturunan Cina mempunyai Lim Goh Tong, Vincent Tan, Yeoh Tiong Lay sementara keturunan India mempunya Ananda Krisnan dan Sabah/Sarawak pula Ting.
