Who dares Penanti?
- BN has decided. BN will not contest for Penang N12 by election. It is a unanimous decision by BN supreme council.
- For that, Anwar can brag as much as he wants. Afterall, give a politician a microphone and he can go on talking till the cows come home. That, in a nutshell, how long a politician can last with a microphone in hand.
- Now, let's see how many aspirant independents will show up on 23rd May 2009. And how many PR supporters will make the journey to Penanti.
- But that is not what this posting is all about. This posting is about Perak and how BN can go about it, with minimal political damage and a sort of "win-win" situation to all involved with the rakyat's welfare superceding that of politicians.
- Now for strategy 101, free of charge to BN this time. Whilst PR is busy campaigning for Penang N12, which they will handsomely wins and later celebrates Dr Mansor's elevation to Penang's Deputy CM, BN strikes. 3 vacancies at the same time.
- Behrang, Changkat Jering and Jelapang vacated their seats. Afterall, these 3 are goners. They can never be accepted by their constituents now. Immediately after the speaker, better still 2 speakers receive their resignation letter, the speakers informed the EC on the vacancies.
- In lightning speed, EC will set the by election dates. And off goes BN, PR looking for suitable candidates. The stakes are high. Whoever wins 2 out of 3 seats will get the grand prize of - Perak state. As simple as that.
- BN's campaign strategy? Well, I have a few up the sleeve but one thing for sure, it is not in line with WJ's defcon.
- PR's campaign strategy to counter BN's campaign strategy? Yes, have that too. Have to make Zorro pleased too since he's upset with BN for spoiling his "blue blitz" trip to Penanti. At least now, he can watch his MU team being defeated by Barcelona at his homey comfort.
- Alas, for a while Sak will be grounded in Pahang since he has no excuse to go to Penanti. See how much can be saved when BN did not participate in Penang N 12?
- It will be carnival time in Perak whilst campaigning for the 3 vacancies. Can I suggest that we make it during this coming school holidays?
