Of Takiyuddin's Taki Taki.... oh oh oh
Let's make it short and simple... hopefully in time to unwind after days of campaigning for Semenyih's by-election.
Takiyuddin Hassan, PAS Sec Gen, may have been wishing that he should keep his mouth shut. Hours after he tried to explain there are no PAS accounts nor PAS leaders' accounts frozen, another bombshell explodes too close for comfort.
Anwar Ibrahim started it when he claimed PAS paid RM 1.4m to Sarawak Report. Of course, Takiyuddin came out blasting that Anwar is lying.
Not long after, "documents" surface with Claire confirming PAS (or Hadi Awang or their agents) paid RM 1.4M as out-of-court settlement. Now, instead of "Malu apa BO55KU", it should be "Malu apa PA55KU" if PAS indeed paid Sarawak Report.
Not easy for PAS to deflect this.... and let's see how PAS going to wriggle out...
Me? Let's Taki Taki for health...

Bang Bang Freed, Bang bang boom and bang bang...
901 is another historic day for Malaysia. Not because Anwar is free but more on PDRM's maturity to allow the rally to proceed without major hiccups.
Let's talk about the decision. Honestly Judge Zabidin's judgement caught me by surprise. I prayed that Judge Zabidin rule to Anwar's favour by discharging the case not amounting to acquittal. I did not expect the total acquittal of Anwar. Not with the way how the Judge handled the case.
If Judge Zaibidin discharge the case not amounting to acquittal, then both side can claim victory. The prosecutor can then claimed that only the lack of evidence failed to nail Anwar whilst Anwar's counsels can claim that there are no consistent evidence to put Anwar behind bars. Then, it is a matter of time for the Government to "unearthed" new evidence to prosecute Anwar. They might even bring back Munaweer or Anwar's foster brother, Sukma, as character witness. When the prosecutors failed to link the dots between sodomy I and sodomy II, it is then clear that the prosecutors do not has a strong case and they only rely on Saiful's statements. When that happens, it is more of whose statement the court choose to believe.
Judge Zabidin must has been under tremendous pressure such that the Judge took time off to review the case. I believe that Judge Zabidin finally makes peace with his Maker when he made the bold decision to acquit Anwar. Maybe, by now Judge Zabidin has been called to "mengadap" his superiors in Putrajaya.
You can sense the feelings when PDRM did not mount serious blockades around town to filter out those peaceful rally goers. One of the reason for PDRM's soft ap[proach is due to 901 is a working day and PDRM do not want to jeorpadise the many businesses including offices. Bravos to PDRM for carrying out their duties.
Whilst supporters celebrate Anwar's win, three booms failed to destroy the festive mood. Mischievous people are out there planning to provoke. Some may point it to the small packets of Perkasa/Perkida supporters and some may say it is PR's own supporters or maybe PDRM has a hand in this. Whatever it is, PDRM will use all their skills to flush out the culprit(s) and charge them in courts.
Now, who is the clown of it all? Unfortunately it is not Hishamuddein. Rais Yatim came close with his version that the courts are free. The winner is Hassan Ali. Even at 0700 morning news, Hassan Ali is still blubbering about Anwar and accused Anwar as the prime reason for his sacking. What Hassan Ali failed to realise (or maybe his ego is too big for his songkok) is PAS acted on collective decision or syurah.
Since Hassan Ali is no longer a deputy President then he should learn to abide to the collective decision. I am sure Nik Aziz has reminded him on that when they met in Kota Bharu recently. When Hassan Ali decided to call the Christian group and threatened to expose the se-called Malay Bible, that's when he took a step too far.
Who is Hassan Ali to dictate this and that? Yes, he may be idealogically Islamic but he should learn to resolve matters discreetly. No need to be heroes. You can even be a silent hero for when Islam matters, it is the One God that judge you for your deeds and the masses to credit you. Hassan Ali may be a motivator but this time around, he failed to self-motivate. That's why he is now at the wrong end of the stick!
When you talk about Hassan Ali now, then you will remember Nakhaie. Why? Both are former PAS leaders. The difference for the time being is Hassan Ali has some grace period to appeal PAS's decision. No need to shoot your mouth off the press. If Hassan Ali is sincere in his Islamic struggles, then he should eat some humble pie and appeal his sacking. In the meantime, Khalid Ibrahim has all rights to replace him in Selangor EXCO!
Yes, Anwar is free. But at what cost? Is RPK and Malaysia-today part of the deal to get Anwar acquitted? What about Haris Ibrahim? Or even Zaid Ibrahim?
RPK -Haris Ibrahim partnership is no longer there since last week. Without the third independent force, PR may well disintegrate. It is the 3rd force that supply endless information and suggestions to improve PR. Why? They are the third eye who is free to look within and offer honest observation.
I hope that Judge Zabidin's load is finally off his shoulder. I pray that Judge Zabidin make the right decision and Ustaz Kazim once mentioned "When there are slanders, it s best that you sit and keep out of trouble".
Judge, for the time being, you are the beacon of justice. It is not an easy decision and by now you may receive some tongue lashing. The One God will reward you for your decision. Better still, switch off your phone. You don't need the unnecessary limelight which is taxing on you. Just take another short holiday and pray to Him that your decision is right. And I salute you for your courage, against all odds...

Of sacrifice, sacrificial, "sack-if-rise" and ...
Time flies. It seems only yesterday we observed Ramadan and rejoice Syawal and now we are already in the month of Zulkaedah. Soon, it will be Zulhijjah and Muslims all over the world wukuf at Arafah where there is no difference between the rich and the poor, whites from black where Ibrahim was ordered by the One God to sacrifice his own son, Ismail. This is Qurban!
Learn how Ismail soothed his father, prophet Ibrahim AS, by comforting him to carry out his duties as servant of the One God. Ismail who was still a teenager was willing to sacrifice his life and Ibrahim is willing to carry out God's order although he has not met his son for years. But we are not talking about that, here. In this posting, let's stick to PKR...
Sacrifice. What more do PKR members need from Wan Azizah? Her sacrifice is beyond measurement when she almost single-handedly raise her children in Anwar's absence and at the same time helmed PKN when Anwar was jailed, when Chandra Muzaffar, Marina Chin and other party founder members abandoned the party.
Ever standing by Anwar's side, Wan Azizah was willing to release her parliamentary seat to enable Anwar to sit in Dewan Rakyat as opposition leader. But that is not all, Wan Azizah is even willing to let go of PKR's presidency if Anwar calls for it...
Sacrificial. Remember the time when Zaid Ibrahim was put high up on the pedestal when he joined PKR? Remember how he was named as PKR's candidate in Hulu Selangor and how his "past" haunted him and may well caused his (and PKR's) loss in Hulu Selangor.
His popularity turns Zaid into a living target and change the whole scene. When he was once garlanded with praises, now there are voices that put him to the pits. In short, someone out there is determined to turn Zaid into another "sacrificial" lamb. Many will gingerly pointed Azmin as the source. I will put the honour to Anwar Ibrahim. He convinced Zaid to cross over and now that Zaid has, Anwar is setting him up as sacrificial lamb. Anwar may disagree with it but evidences suggested that.
"Sack-if-rise". That's the way it is now in PKR. Post 308 sees aspiring leaders joining the fray to be PKR leaders. And if there is any inkling that certain persons may be winning converted party posts, there is already murmurs that these "would-be" leaders will face the sack through disciplinary actions.
I have said it before and I will repeat it here. PKR is going to the dogs. There are too many man-made roadblocks to be PKR leaders. Thanks to 308, PKR members (and leaders) are openly drooling for the bounty if and when PKR take over Putrajaya in GE 13.
What is the main cause of these mayhems in PKR? Whilst the party leaders shift the blame to UMNO, the real cause is ANWAR. Hiding behind the generic "Ketua Umum" title, Anwar is playing his cards close his chest. He can openly deny his plans but there is no doubt that he is making his moves to place Azmin Ali as PKR's deputy President. In doing so, Anwar is willing to sacrifice Zaid Ibrahim, Jeffrey Kitingan and the rest of Sabah PKR leaders. Why? The reason is actully simple. It all boils down to Anwar's personal attitude. He thinks too highly of himself and thinks that he can do no wrong! Whatever setbacks he face is blamed on UMNO, Tun Mahathir and political conspiracies to stop his route to Putrajaya. In short, Anwar is "over-valued"! He places his price more than his worth and PKR members are blindly following the tune of Anwar, the pied piper!
Then, is PKR set to be doomed? No...not yet. If and only if PKR members make the right choice in choosing the right candidate for the deputy President post. Let's face it! Azmin has not shaken off his UMNO mentality. To him, everyone below should follow blindly to the leader and that is how he treats Sabah's PKR when he was put in charge there and he failed miserably. Remember the times when he openly criticised his own Selangor MB when he is also one of the EXCOs? I define it as back-stabbing. Is this person qualified to be PKR's deputy President? No, not in 2010!
Khalid Ibrahim? Selangor may hero-worshipped him but he is not "federal" material. His lack of oratory skills place him in an awkward position. He just do not have that special "oomph" to be the deputy President! Performance? He may be performing but his known goofers may put PKR on the defensive. Remember the time when he was PKR's candidate during the Ijok's by-election? Remember how he accidentally ask the voters to vote BN instead of PKR? If that can happens to this corporate genius then, what can stop him from repeating the slip in the future? You just can't blame the media for misquoting when he is the one who slips, can we?
Zaid Ibrahim? His anti-establishment stand in BN wins him supporters. He dares to stand up against Mahathir and he chose to walk away from his ministerial post because of his principles. In that sense, Zaid Ibrahim deserved to be considered as a legitimate candidate for deputy President. BUT...his checquered past returns to haunt him, courtesy of UMNO and enemies within PKR. Zaid may be a favourite in urban areas but his support within the rural community is highly suspected. He needs more time to prove that he has "change over" into a new leaf and his past is history. On that ground, Zaid should stand down in 2010 and bide his time...the time will come when Zaid is PKR's president material...say in 3 to 6 years time...
So who else is there? Someone who is nationally known and someone that PKR can turn to? Why not Putri Reformasi? Yes! Nurul Izzah.
Remember the time when Anwar is facing his first sodomy charge? Who is the person who PKR turns to for their battle cry? Who is the one who stands by Wan Azizah to lend the much needed moral support? Who is the one who sacrifice part of her youth to stand for justice? Yes...it is that familiar word, the word that binds reformists together. Putri Reformasi Nurul Izzah.
Why Nurul Izzah? Why not? If she can generate support to PKR in the early days then why not now? Her soft-spoken style will be respected by all, friends and foes alike. She is already in the parliament and her youth is an added advantage over the stale UMNO. As she is young, her poltical enemies are not many and her nomination as PKR's deputy President will put UMNO and its BN counterpart to shame! Here, PKR can demonstrate to UMNO and BN that her youthis acceptable as long as there is talent and dedication, unlike UMNO who still sticks to the old formula of little emperors!
This will also be the best time to put Anwar Ibrahim to a test. Will he still opts for his longtime mentee and favourite candidate Azmin Ali or will he stand by his daughter? Or better still, will he take the middle road and let PKR members make their choice, freely on their own will without that little nudge from "Ketua umum PKR".
If Nurul Izzah plays her cards right, maybe Anwar has no choice but to either offer himself as candidate for PKR's President or show his hands and push Azmin Ali to challenge Wan Azizah. This is politics and Nurul Izzah is ready for the main stage. The question is - is her advisers ready to plan the strategy to ensure her win or will they fallback on Nurul Izzah' popularity to pull her through?
The days are still long but Nurul Izzah should be willing to come out from her father's shadows and stand on her own! The members are waiting, her supporters are lining up, the young are hoping...so Nurul Izzah, take a deep breath and saviour this moment. After that, declare your acceptance to be a candidate for PKR's deputy President's post. And if papa is angry, just gently whisper to his ears that you are already over 21, married and a mother and thus papa should respect you for your decision...Can you do that Nurul Izzah? Or do you need more convincing?

Of PKR's silent musical chairs...

Is Anwar getting paranoid that he might not get 100 percent nomination as PKR's president? If that is the case, how will Anwar acts if and when he is elected as PM? For sure he will not get 100 percent support. So what will he do? Force all Malaysians to support him? If that will be the case, what is the difference between Anwar and Mahathir
- PKR wants to be different from the rest. In fact, PKR's message is that they are more transparent than UMNO, DAP, PAS, MCA, MIC, Gerakan, PPP, SUPP, PBB and the rest of minor political parties. Thus, PKR introduces direct election system to select their leaders.
- Then comes the party election process. PKR's election process is shambolic. And it happens in Selangor, PKR's stronghold. I bet UMNO is grinning from ear to ear now!
- PKR wanted to show to the rest that they are a cut above. Alas! It is easier said than done...by now PKR may be smarting from their "intellectually stupid" decision to hold direct election when it is now proven that PKR is not ready for direct election. The heart is willing but the feet is not...
- This posting is not about that. This posting is more about PKR's silent musical chairs. You remember the game, don't you?In the game,it started with many circling the chairs arrange in a circle and when the music stops, everybody scramble to sit on the chair and those who failed are removed from the game. So it continues until in the end, there is only two person vying for a single chair and that's how the game determines its winner.
- Looking at PKR now, it is also another game of musical chairs but this time it comes with a noted difference. There is no music to indicate when the game starts or when you make a scramble for the coverted chairs.For PKR's case, it started with the branch elections. Before 2008, not many party members wanted to project themselves as PKR party leaders. As a result, PKR has to beg for candidates in 2008 GE. And GE 2008 change Malaysia's political landscape with PKR scoring major successes together with DAP and PAS. Now, every Tom, Dick and Harry wanted to bite a piece of pie from PKR as seen by the intense scramble for the party posts, even at branches level...
- Even as it stands, whilst the rest of PKR members including Wan Azizah participating in the musical chairs, there is one particular "silent musical chair" game set exclusively for Anwar Ibrahim. There, there is only one candidate which is Anwar Ibrahim vying for one particualr chair which is PKR "de facto" leader. That is the game that Anwar can never lose!
- Let me refresh you with PKR's "sweeping reforms". One of them is limiting the President's term to nine years. Why limit only the President's term? Why not limit the Deputy President's term to , say 12 years and VP post to 15 years?The logic of this argument is simple. What happen if a leader opts to remains as the deputy president? And let's say that he has been there for 20 years? Will he be actually be the person pulling the strings behind the President? Limiting the term of service for these top ecelon leaders will pave the way for other leaders to make their mark in PKR.Or is this reform to limit PKR's president term to nine years a way to show Wan Azizah the door?
- If PKR can limit the President to nine years, why is PKR silent on their "de facto" leader? Is he beyond approach? Will he be allowed to continue pulling the strings behind the scene?PKR and Anwar's legion of fans can do what they want but to remain credible, Anwar must show hands. Why is he staying away from the election fray? Scared of losing to his wife? Afraid of his own shadows? There is no use elevating Anwar as "de facto" leader if he could not even make his own stand! Will Anwar forever remain as "de facto" leader without going through the election process? Where is his credibility?
- Look at UMNO, as an example. When Mahathir resigns from PM, he passed the baton to Abdullah who stands as UMNO's presidential candidate. The same goes to Najib when Abdullah resigns from his PM's post. UMNO is not perfect but at least it is run by leaders who offer themselves to the party. Anwar? Why is he not standing as PKR's presidential candidate?Is Anwar getting paranoid that he might not get 100 percent nomination as PKR's president? If that is the case, how will Anwar acts if and when he is elected as PM? For sure he will not get 100 percent support. So what will he do? Force all Malaysians to support him? If that will be the case, what is the difference between Anwar and Mahathir?Anwar calls Mahathir a dictator for pushing his weight around. Then Anwar is also a more potent potential dictator for expecting everybody to support him!
- Like it or not, PKR's musical chair game have started. Some say Anwar is pitting Azmin to win the deputy post whilst Wan Azizah/Nurul is counting on Zaid to pull through.Let others watch the musical chair game played in the common rooms. I opts to see how Anwar plays his "will always win" musical chair game. Is Anwar going the way of "the pot calling the kettle black"?
- Say what you want I did not see any way for Lim Kit Siang/Lim GE or Nik Aziz/Hadi endorsing Anwar as PR's "de facto" leader if he can't even get himself running and elected as PKR's president.Whatever, PKR's historical direct election is turning into a farce and Anwar Ibrahim is heading to be the "biggest clown" of all...

Of history, historic, historical and ...
Let's admit it. If this is purely history, then we should leave it to Khoo Kay Kim to compile all the necessary data and artifacts. Correct? But this is not just history in nature, it is also how we look at things from a different perspective...
It all started in 1998 when Anwar Ibrahim was sacked from his DPM's post. The once Mahathir's blue-eyed boy choose the wrong person to push around and Mahathir decided that enough is enough and they say that the rest is history. Is that all? No, Anwar's sacking forced his supporters to find a new political platform to voice out their discontent and that basically how Parti Keadilan Nasional (PKN) is formed. Its members are mostly former UMNO members who left the party with Anwar's sacking. It's main objective is to demand justice for Anwar Ibrahim. Thus, it look more like a figure-centered party. It's all about Anwar, Anwar, Anwar...That is history.
March 2008 witnessed a possible 2-party system in Malaysia with the once PKN (now known as PKR) combined forces with DAP and PAS to deny BN it's traditionally 2/3 parliament majority. Everyone is euphoric on the prospect of PKR-DAP-PAS governing Malaysia but then again...PKR stumbled when some of its elected reps decided to leave the party paving the way for BN to take over Perak from the coalition. In short, PKR as a young party is still trying to find its way and direction in Malaysia's politics beyond Anwar-centered theme. To breakway from the monotonous Anwar-centered idealogy, PKR opts to introduce a historic direct election system to choose its top leaders and the supreme council.
Since the announcement of the supposedly historic direct election, everybody jumps on the bandwagon harping on its virtues. Now, now...is it really so? Since PKR is all about Anwar, why is Anwar shying off from being nominated as the President? If he is more comfortable staying in the background as the party adviser, then why is he so gung ho in taking over Wan Azizah's spot as MP for Permatang Pauh? How will it look to the party members of an adviser who is reluctant to take over the reins of the party but ever willing to be an MP and opposition leader in parliament? Is there any hidden agenda there? Is Anwar banking on the direct election system to install his "endorsed" list of supporters by indirectly staying out of the party election? Former deputy Sec Gen has his own version to the whole direct election process here.
Getting Syed Hussin to "retire" is the easy part. But choosing a new Deputy President is another thing. Truthfully, forerunner Azmin Ali is in a comfortable position compared to Zaid. However, one should not neglect to note that Azmin Ali is an UMNO thoroughbred. Azmin Ali is there because he is once Anwar's assisstant and close confidante but the way he openly questioned Khalid Ibrahim in running Selangor should be noted. Is that what you want in a deputy President? Azmin Ali seems to forego the party's channel with his outburst against Khalid Ibrahim. What will he do if he disagrees with Wan Azizah? Note that he is both Selangor EXCO and an MP whereelse Wan Azizah is ZIP, when she "surrenders" her MP to Anwar Ibrahim.
That is not all. PKR supporters should take into account how Azmin Ali treated PKR Sabah. If PKR has the intention to wrest Sabah (and Sarawak) from BN, then Azmin should not be in the picture. Azmin Ali is better off at his present position and use that as his cooling period to re-stablish his ties with Sabah and Sarawak. Afterall, one must remember that PKR has limit the presidency tenure to maximum of nine years...
As for Zaid Ibrahim, his stand is clear. His disadvantage should be wiped out by his public repentance. When it comes to religious issues, it is better for us to steer clear lest we fall into the pit-trap of trying to judge a person when we are not perfect ourselves.
Remember that it is not Zaid who lost P94 Hulu Selangor, it was PKR's infighting and desertion including the so-called power struggle which contributed to BN's win. It is Anwar's hidden hands that pushed Halili Rahmat to abandon PKR leaving Zaid stranded in Hulu Selangor. So read between the lines as it is expected for PKR delegates to make a wise decision soon - choose either a Napoleonic or a principled deputy. Either built from the scratch President or will the delegates opts for a parachuted one (please note how Mahathir parachute in this youth leader into UMNO in 1982).
Direct election or not, it is exciting to see how PKR will conduct this first direct election and I reserve my comments on how the party spread the direct election process into several days. Will it not expose the direct election process into another farce especially when the results are tallied daily and the aspirant contestants will go all out to "pursuade" the delegates to vote their way? And will the delegates votes sway to the forerunner when the maths are sealed? How will PKR resolve this issue? When one mention direct election then it should be done within specific hours within the same day before tallying the result. Does PKR has the capability and will to do that? Honestly, it is doubtful but time will tell...
Let's see how historical Anwar position himself in the coming Azmin-Zaid fight. It is a difficult choice for Anwar to remain neutral. He could not discard his one-time assisstant Azmin and at the same time he could not by-pass Zaid who joined the party for it's principle. In fact, Anwar has to "take care" of Chua Jui Meng too as Chua will be an "influence" in the coming GE 13.
Is Anwar using Wan Azizah as leverage to get his "preferred" line-up and once it's accomplish, nudge Wan Azizah into political retirement? Remember that if Anwar can do that to Ghaffar, there's nothing stopping him to do the same to Wan Azizah...
History of PKN, historic direct election, historical Anwar...this posting is in response to my friend's question on who I support for PKR's Deputy President. My answer is simple - I support the one who can make Malaysia better. Will that suffice?

Of Sodomy II's sacrificial lamb...
- A single blog posting. That's all it takes and the circus is in town again. How easy it is for AG Ghani Patail to make the decision to drop the sodomy II's prosecution team member based on hearsay.
Why single? It just take one posting in MT2 and AG is forced to announce his decision. Now, if there is no truth in MT's exposure, why the decision? Is AG Ghani's decision based on hearsay and baseless accusations?
- All this while, everything is done to discredit whatever is written in MT. Not only that, there is non-stop efforts to potray RPK as the man who "lost" it and lived in his "own world of fantasies". Or is this another "front" by those in Putrajaya to downplay the RPK factor?
- Whatever it is, is there really any need to "sacrifice" the lady? AG Ghani's approach seems so impersonal, so out of touch.
The way Ghani dispenses the lady should be questioned. He may be the man of law but what law is he adhering to when he throw the lady to the sharks? Is she really guilty of what she is accused of? - Has Ghani really thought through the issue sensibly or is he jumping to decision due to his holiday and monday blues? Islam called for 4 witness of unquestionable character to make accussation of this nature. Why? You are talking about a lady's dignity and her whole family here.If Ghani is acting on just RPK's posting, then truly Ghani has a weak case. How can Ghani, a man who is supposed to be Malaysia's law Numero Uno decides on hearsays and gossips? Ghani is expected to stand by her staff but instead he choose to abandon his staff. Will he take responsibility for whatever outcome in her life?
- If Ghani's statement is to be accepted wholly, would he be expected to axed his leading prosecutor if, God forbids, someone claims that the lead prosecutor bonked the chief witness? Will that happen?No names here. This is not about names but sometimes actions just could not be taken to cover the tracks. Consider the factors leading to the possible "engagement" between the chief witness and the lady prosecutor...
- Ghani claimed that the lady prosecutor was roped in January 2010 to render general assistance including taking notes of trial proceedings. Ghani further implied that the lady prosecutor had no access to confidential papers and investigation papers.Consider this then. It takes time to know a person. If it is true that both the chief witness and the lady prosecutor were romantically involved, then how did this happen? Ghani said the lady prosecutor is just taking trial notes. Did she has access to the chief witness? Dis they meet outside the court rooms? And if they did, under whose order? You just don't meet someone without proper introduction, do you?
- Is Ghani implying that his lady prosecutor staff an "easy-going" lady? Did Ghani realise that he is implicating the parents, the relatives, the neighbours, her associates and worse still even the whole department by suggesting the possibility?How will you, as a parent, accept the humiliation heaped by your daughter's boss in public?
- Ghani hinted on an internal investigation to be carried out. The question is - why shoot first and ask questions later?By issuing the statements, Ghani has already handed down his decision and whatever internal investigation to be carried out is only "rubber-stamp" in nature. The decision is there, the internal investigation will be tailored to justify Ghani's actions.
- What about her future career? True or not, her record had blemished. The stigma and the public's views towards her has forever changed. This is difficult for the lady prosecutor, more so if she needs to face the public day in and day out.
- Back to the key witness. Was he not briefed on the do's and the don't by the prosecution team? Or is this an elaborate scheme for mistrial and possibly discharge not amounting to acquittal for sodomy II?This is not a far-fetched conclusion when the prosecution team is caught with their pants down with regards to the main witness-lady prosecutor "romance".
- Where does Malaysia go from here? Our Executive is turning into an "on-off" switch to please the public, our legislative is turning into a common market place complete with vague statements and our judiciary system is compromised with "personal relationship".Where are our moral values? Rapes, abandoned babies, discipline problems, drugs are amongst the ever-growing problems. Do we need to add on our selective prosecution?
- It seems that our lady prosecutor is in the news for all the wrong reasons. In the end, she is made a "sacrificial lamb". The script for sodomy II needs to be re-written. Maybe, Ghani needs to go for another holiday and think out of a new, better script for sodomy III...I rest my case...

Mission : Pinned down Anwar and ...
This time around, I am not going to list down the details but consider these few as appetisers :-
- Why Anwar's "free subscription VCDs'" are given free especially in Bangi?;
- Why did MPs' leaving PKR? Look at their timing, it is too clockwork precision...;
- Why did the police move in to stop PR's ceramah in Kg Baru?;
- Federal court ruling that Anwar's 1998 dismissal is lawful;
- KJ's ribbing on why Anwar is still the opposition leader in parliament;
Oncoming problems? Yes, I will say that since BN is tabling the second reading of GST bill amid the existing problems faced by BN in the coming weeks such as :-
- GST bill 2009 will get its second reading in March 2010 (the parliament will sit from 15th march 2010 - 15th April 2010, with the 2nd reading expected to take place from 5th April 2010 onwards);
- 1MPM6's reaction on local government polls. Is he jumping the gun? Must it be good, if and only if it is proposed by BN?;
- MCA's party election on 28th March 2010. Will all participating parties recognise the results or will there be further split in MCA, the second largest BN component party?;
- PPP's "who will be recognise as the President" shall be heard in High court and decision handed down soon;
- Will there be cabinet re-shuffling with MCA's, PPP's infighting? Will the reshuffling affects those from MIC and Gerakan too? Will it happen after the coming parliament session?;
- Perak state assembly will convene again this 3oth March 2010. How will it turn out time around? Which speaker reigns supreme? Will there be another headache?
BN is pinning down Anwar and is keeping Anwar busy at the courts. What BN is doing is to tire Anwar. BN is calculating that a tired Anwar will make mistakes. For that, my advise to Anwar - please refrain from using personal assistant. Better to use personal assistants, instead and refrain from being caught "just the two of us" again because BN's is running out of ammunition and is relying on the courts to wear down Anwar.
BN may think that they are holding all the right cards but who holds the aces? They say that Najib is working on overdrive to "buy over" support from PRs' outcast MPs. What Najib may have overlook is the possibility of MPs' crossover from MCA fallout. If might not happen but the possibility is always there. As Chua SL says "politics is the art of making the impossible, possible". We have shown that in March 2008 but ssshhhhh, don't whisper to Najib because he's dreaming of visiting Che Wan's otak-otak this Satursay... we don't want him to be on alert, do we?

Whoa..Wan Azizah : Why not start with PKR?
I have no problems with them leaving but what perplex me is the one that PKR asked to go - Zulkifli Nordin.
Saifudin Nasution said the actions was taken for Zul's action in lodging a police report against Khalid Samad. Obviously this is an unrealistic to do. If that is PKR's line of thoughts, then Gerakan youth chief will be sacked from Gerakan because he made a police report implying that Noh Omar (Minister from UMNO) indirectly has a hand in the fishbox issue.
That leads me to question PKR's wisdom of sacking Zulkifli based on the latter's police report. Isn't Khalid Samad suspended for 6 months from PAS? So, why the fuss? Zulkifli Nordin has the rights to lodge a police report if he feels that Khalid Samad is wrong as Gerakan youth has all the rights to lodge a report with MACC if they feels that there is something fishy with the chip-embedded fish box.
Back to Zulkifli Nordin. Yes, I fully agree that his style and approach is unorthodox and he loves the limelight of being different from the rest. At the same time, I value his stand on certain issues which is close to his heart. For that, I have to salute Zulkifli Nordin for his unwavering stand.
Can I say the same about PKR? Anwar said that it's nothing personal regarding Zulkifli's sacking. He further claimed that this is PKR's principles - may I ask what principles? Zulkifli's stand is about the high court ruling regarding the "Allah" issue. If Anwar said that it is acceptable, then is Anwar saying that MAIS (which is under the purview of Selangor Sultan) is wrong in saying that the word is exclusive for Muslims? Is Anwar also saying the same ie Pahang is also wrong for having the same stand as Selangor? If that is what Anwar is implying, then it is better for the Khalid Ibrahim to seek audience with HRH and request for Selangor state government to be dissolved. Then, let's see whether Anwar will still stand by this principle or not when Selangor goes for the election.
Continuing on, who is Anwar? Is he now an official member of PKR? Or is he still a partyless leader? Is he an official PKR office bearer? Or is he still the de-facto leader of PKR? What if DAP claims the opposition leader position in parliament with Lim KS telling Anwar - Nothing personal but DAP has more MPs' than PKR? Can Anwar accept this?
Going down the line, Wan Azizah's (is she still PKR's President?) makes an unintelligent statement when she challenged Zulkifli Nordin to vacate his seat. Kulim-Bandar baru parlimeantary seat does not belong to PKR, either. That seat belongs to the people so let the people decides whether they still want Zulkifli Nordin to represent them in parliament or not. Why did I say that? How many PKR registered members are in Kulim? How many PAS and how many DAP members? Combine them all, will you get the numbers equal to the votes collected by Zulkifli in March 2008?
And if Zulkifli's votes comes from a wide base of support, then it will be an injustice asking Zulkifli to vacate his seat, fully knowing well that Zulkifli cannot defend his post by virtue that he vacated the seat. So, what now Wan Azizah?
The way I see it, Wan Azizah (and for that matter PKR) is trying very hard to force anoither by-election and hoping to use that chance to garner sympathy votes again. Fat chance! Why should PKR sacrifice the rakyats to bloat the egos of few so-called leaders in Kuala Lumpur? And as I said earlier, if PKR is so damn sure that the rakyat are still with them with their so-called "principles", then by all means dissolve Selangor state and measure your strength there? Care to take the challenge, Wan Azizah? Dissolving the state assembly is the best solution available as all the present ADUNs' can re-contest their seats. Is PKR ready for this "popularity challenge"?
Wan Azizah has sacrifice her seat to let hubby steal the thunder in Permatang Pauh. The strains of sodomy II is getting on to Wan Azizah and for that I understand her sudden outburst calling Zulkifli to vacate his seat. The question that Wan Azizah should be asking is - not who else is going to leave PKR but rather who else will PKR be asking to go.
Wan Azizah has all the rights to think that her family was slandered once before but that does not give her the passport to sack PKR leaders just because they dance slightly different. And if Wan Azizah is still talking about principles, why not let the Peratang Pauh MP vacate his seat and see whether PKR can still retain the seat or not (based on PKR's principles)? Didn't they say that leaders has to sacrifice? Why not start with Permatang Pauh?
Is PKR ready to vacate Permatang Pauh and test whether their principles are accepted by the rakyat? Afterall, isn't Permatang Pauh PKR's stronghold and with Muslims making up the majority, it will be the best test-case of PKR's principles...Over to you now, Wan Azizah. Do you dare to take up this challenge?

Of AI : Blame it on the rain...except own self
Lately, there is this feeling inside of me to say out loud to Anwar Ibrahim, the so-called opposition leader - Blame it on the rain. Reminiscence of Milli Vanili's "Blame it on the rain" where in part the lyrics goes
"Gotta blame it on something,
gotta blame it on something.
Blame it on the rain that was fallin', fallin'.
Blame it on the stars that shine at night.
But don't put the blame on youself
It all started as a trickle but now it's getting more frequent and the raindrops are getting bigger too. I mean, it started with a minor shift when PKR's Radzhi Salleh who is also an elected state assembly quit PKR and become a BN-friendly state assemblyman. That was in August 2009. Prior to that PR lost Perak because 2 of PKR's elected reps decided to turn independent and supported BN.
One year on, it is Bayan Baru MP Abu Zahrain's turn to tighten the screw in Penang when he announced that he too quit PKR. In quick succession, former Penang DCM Fairus left PKR for UMNO whilst Nibong Tebal's MP Tan Tee Beng quit PKR on 1st march 2009. Not only that, former PKR's sec gen Sallehudin Hasim also quit PKR. So now, Anwar, what are you going to do?
Consider these :-
- It is PKR's defection that cost PR to lose Perak in 2009. Remember Osman Jailu and Jamaluddin Mohd Radhi? Not only that, these 2 PKR state assemblymen plus former DAP's Hee has plunge Perak into a political turmoil that needs federal courts interpretation of the law to finally put the issue at rest. At least, that is what I hope for;
- Radzhi Salleh's resignation force Kedah's MB to seek audience with the Sultan to remove him from his exco post. Not only that, it raise the BN's numbers to 15 out of the total 36 state seats. Will more follow Radzhi's footsteps now? Only time will tell;
- Will Azizan's plan to reshuffle Kedah's exco affected by PKR's internal problems? Will these problems spilled to other PR-members ie DAP and PAS? A more definite answer and pattern will be more forthcoming after 10th March when the new exco line up is announced.;
- Selangor PKR has its own set of problems when PKR's Badrul Hisham decided to be BN-friendly in 2009;
- Abu Zahrain's and Tan's decision of quitting PKR is actually a big moral win to BN-lead Najib. Instead of 8 short for 2/3 majority, they are now much closer to the elusive 2/3 majority after taking into account of Ibrahim Ali's lately pro-UMNO's stand;
- Add them all up and you will see that PKR has "lost" 6 seats (2 of them Parliamentary seat) due to their own internal problems. How many more will leave the PKR camp? Some claims 10, some say less - again time will tell;
Just a simple advise to Anwar (who thinks that he is the best in Malaysia). Stop blaming others for your own failures. Blaming 1MPM6 and his wife will not solve the problem. The question is - what is Anwar going to do with issue of more and more people leaving PKR?
A simple question cross my mind - if Anwar cannot control his own PKR members from deserting him, then how can he keep others to follow his lead. Anwar could not even get his house in order.
s Milli Vanilli said, blame it on the rain, blame it on the stars, and heck you can even blame it on tsunami as long as you don't blame yourself. But then again - is that a good trademark of a wise and excellent leader? Rhetoric can keep the crowd roaring and feeding from your hand but it will not hide the fact that those close to Anwar is deserting him. And why is that?
I see a simple reason. Those who follow Anwar before are former UMNO members who are disgruntled with the way Mahathir bundles Anwar out of the political picture. These people are so used to money politics that they could not find other livelihood that to keep on sucking money. They saw the chance again in 2008 when PR won states and deny BN of the 2/3 majority. So, it's pay-up time now. If PR states failed to offer them good and well-paid position, they will crawl back to BN where money is not a problem. The same with Anwar, these elected persons has betrayed the rakyats - for their own benefits. Blame it on the rain again as they can sing the same tune as Anwar. Blame on the rest of the world but not themselves.
One claimed that Sallehudin Hasim quit PKR because he faiuled to get an RM 50,000 per month post. Some said Zahrain sulks because he cannot get his company a poject in Penang. If that is so, then go fly to BN where everything is possible. And if they really want to fly, by goodness sake buy an AA ticket where "everybody can fly".
Back to Anwar, what is your excuse now? Don't come running and say "I am sorry". That is not enough. It is no longer enough. Once is OK but repeated sorry is no longer an excuse. Remember how the rakyats slog to hand PR win after win during the by-elections? How do you explain to these hardworking guys on PKR's desertion after desertion? Anwar can travel first class and accorded VIP treatments but what about the many faces that descended to unfamiliar places - just for their beliefs that PR is on the right path? What do you want to tell them?
Anwar, tell me - how do you explain the recent and future PKR desertion? Remember how thousands descended to KL to march towards Istana Negara during Bersih rally? Remember how many were tear-gassed during the anti-ISA rally? You owe them an explanation. Don't just blame it on the rain, Anwar.
Anwar, really you may be good but reality is you may not be good enough to lead the pack. Anwar may be par excellent in giving excuses. It is better for Anwar to move aside and blame it on the rain for not able to stand too long in the rain. Let others take the lead. Someone who can put the house in order. Truthfully, I don't care whether the person has pink lips or not. What I look for is a natural leader, respected by all Malaysians regardless of race, religion and beliefs. I know that the leader is out there somewhere.
Just in case, some of you wonders. I am not getting mad nor am I getting frustrated. No, not yet. I am just warming up, so be prepared....

PKR is drowning, will Anwar keep it afloat?
- PKR is now facing peatfire and Anwar should be going in now to control and extinguish the fire.
- When its partner is smelling another victory in Permatang Pasir, PKR's ship is leaking in two different states.
- First up is the announcement from Kedah. Lunas assemblyman, Mohd Radzhi Salleh, who declared that he quits PKR and remains an independent assemblyman whilst retaining his state executive council post.
- His reasons for quiting PKR? His loss of confidence towards PKR's leadership. PKR's initial response? Radzhi's resignation could be triggered by MACC's investigation into his tourism portfolio whilst at the same time declared that PKR is dissatisfied over his performance.
- Before this, Khalid Ibrahim of Selangor on 20th Augut 2009 has advised one Badrul Hisham Abdullah, Pelabuhan Kelang assemblyman, to resign if he canot serve the people.
- In short, this is unbecoming of PKR. I have written about this way back on 28th May 2009 that PKR must put its house in order. THree months has passed and still Anwar failed to get his act together.
- Anwar is busy accussing BN of trying to politically chop him down that he did not spend enough time to reinforce PKR. Is this the best Anwar can do? No doubt PKR is led by his wife, Wan Azizah but everyone knows who runs the show.
- Just imagine what PKR elected reps has put us through? By-elections in Permatang Pauh, Bukit Selambau, Penanti and Perak fiasco is contributed by PKR's reps of Changkat Jering and Behrang.
- In short, PKR has proved that it is a party that failed to carry out a thorough check on its candidates. It is a greenhorn party that happens to be taking advantage of the groundswell that put BN in its place. However, in doing that, PKR is exposed to a "sudden" prominence beyond its expectations. And now, that prominence is backfiring on PKR.
- Has anyone notice the absence of PKR's deputy, Syed Husin, from its national scene? Is PKR solely run by Anwar Ibrahim? With support from Azmin Ali, Tian Hua, Gobalakrishnan, Khalid Ibrahim and their youth chief? What about the rest?
- PKR can divert the media attention by accussing MACC of investigating Radzhi but is that the real issue? Others can blame MACC of "selective" investigation but to me, nobody should question MACC when they carry out investigation. It is their duty to investigate when there is a report made. Pure and simple. If there is an element of selective persection, it must be addressed separately in a different forum. Afterall, what is the use of setting up numerous MACC advisory panels if they cannot function?
- If indeed Radzhi is being investigated, let it be. MACC is doing their job and Radzhi must answer for his actions. Being a PKR rep and EXCO does not give him the immunity from being investigated.
- So, what is Anwar's next move? Is he still thinking of another 916? For those who forgets, 916 is 16th September when Anwar predicted that PR will take over from BN in running Malaysia. That was a year ago and that date passed with Anwar failing to prove his prediction. If Anwar has any thoughts of declaring another 916, my say is it is better for Anwar to keep his prediction to himself and spare the trouble of anxious waits from both BN and PR camps.
- It is time for Anwar to steer PKR from further trouble. His PR partners are doing fine. DAP and PAS, with their experience and strong leadership are still intact. What about PKR? It seems that PR's ship is having a big gash on PKR's side. When will Anwar acts?
- Anwar is known to be an orator. A good one, no doubt. But talking without action is nothing. What PKR needs now is strong action to arrest the problems. Who can do that? Anwar? He may be putting his priority wrong and thinks more about his sodomy case than on how to salvage PKR. Syed Husin? He is nowhere to be seen and honestly he is too soft to bring out the whip.
- Khalid Ibrahim? He is besieged in Selangor and cannot do much outside Selangor. Azmin Ali? He is too dependent on Anwar and he has been at odds with many PKR leadership to command support.
- Tian Hua? With him around, PKR may end up as a party willing to stand in front of police personnel cars. Gobala? Too busy fighting off police arrest. Zulkifli Nordin? He will scare the non-muslims away with his hard stand. Cikgu Bard? Then it will just be PKR vs KJ and not PKR vs BN....
- Where am I heading then? It shows that there is no credile leader in PKR to come forward and take charge. Everyone is on his own. Everyone has his own agenda. Radzhi has declared that he is a nationalist. That means he is better suited to be in UMNO ranks. That said, it is hard to see Radzhi joining PAS because PAS's concept is based on religous approach and not nationalistic approach.
- Badrul Hisham? His problem is his mental capability. One friendly blogger, Zorro, describes him as a person who could not care less.
- The people has rise to occassion in showing BN who is the boss. The question now is - Do PKR perform to the peoples' expectation? And why did I single out PKR? Because there is not much problem coming from DAP and PAS camps. No doubt DAP and PAS has some hiccups here and there but not to the extent of causing a pandemic-like problems.
- The people will still stand by PR if there is by-elections if that by-elections are due to legitimate vacancy but I doubt the people will stand by PR if by-elections are made necessary due to resignation (like the one by Radzhi) or forced medical reasons (if it happens to Badrul Hisham).
- Finally, Anwar has to ask himself - is it worth it? Is his selfglorification more important than the nation? By that, Anwar has to trascend above races and think about Malaysians. Do he has the fighting spirit to carry on or will he choose to think about himself before he thinks about Malaysia?
- Anwar must realise that he is not Nelson Mandela nor is he on the same platform as Gandhi. If he choose to be Hassan al-Banna then he better act as one. The choice is still his and I will be watching carefully...

1 Selangor : PR under the spotlight...
In Selangor, there are allegations that the present state government is dispensing the waste management contracts on a 40-30-30 ratio of PKR-DAP-PAS. The allegation first surfaced out when Petaling Jaya councillor highlights the dubious dealings involving Alam Flora and the state government. The councillor streamlined the claim when he said that 70 % of Alam Flora contracts are handled by contractors picked by the state government.
Responding to the allegation, MB Khalid Ibrahim said an audit committee will be set up to ensure that alam flora's contracts are awarded to "genuine operators".
So what does this allegation revealed? Simply put, the allegation shows that the rakyat is still being played out by the politicians. And this time by Pakatan Rakyat coalition of PKR, DAP and PAS. Whether the allegation is true or not is immaterial. The allegation is made by Pakatan Rakyat's appointed councillor. In fact he is a registered member of one of the Pakatan's parties. If this allegation is made by state opposition, then we can rubbish it down, as they can be made with bad intentions.
The question now is why the need for the formation of audit committee? Are we creating a watchdog to look after another watchdog? Is Khalid acknowledging that there is some dubious dealings going on in Alam Flora? If Pakatan Rakyat is practising dubious dealings, then who can the rakyat turn too? If the allegations are true, then the rakyats are sandwiched between hungry wolves and crocodiles. What makes it worse is Pakatan Rakyat swept into power because they promised clean, fair and transparent government. Maybe they are sticking to their slogans but apparently there are those in Pakatan Rakyat who relies on legally correct manouvres without giving a hoot on moral rights. If this is true, then there is no difference between Pakatan Rakyat and Barisan Nasional. Both with bad apples in their bushels. It is a matter of which bushels has more bad apples.
Another question is, if this can happen in Selangor, what guarantees do we as the rakyat has that the same is not happening in Kedah, Penang, Perak, Kelantan? Pakatan Rakyat has more than enough ample time to address issues. It has been more than 1 year since March 2008. This is time for delivery and Pakatan Rakyat better start delivering now. Pakatan Rakyat has no more excuses. Before, Pakatan Rakyat claimes that they are not in power to govern the states so they could not do much and promise heaven and earth. Now that Pakatan Rakyat is in power in those 5 states, they have no more excuses.
If Pakatan Rakyat can generate into dubious dealings barely a year after gaining control of Selangor, imagine what they will do if they are given the chance to govern the state for the next 50 years. I shudder at the thoughts...
However, we still need more courageous souls as that of the councillors to come forward and expose Pakatan's misdeeds. It is not because we hate Pakatan but because we care for the rakyat. We have placed our trust to Pakatan to run the state and Pakatan must return out trust with good governance, not by talks only but by actions and deeds.
Anwar may be still smiling as he managed to bag prize catch Zaid Ibrahim, but smiles alone will not last long and will not go far. Anwar must steer Pakatan to deliver, deliver and deliver...Can he do that or will he be court tied in fighting his sodomy trial which is coming up for hearing in July 2009.
Pakatan may still be governing Selangor but the excess baggage has started to pile up. Pakatan Rakyat needs to dispense and rid the baggage now...Can they? would they?

Anwar : Clean up PKR or else...
- Some may take it lightly. I don't. It's the spark here, spark there that will ignite into an uncontrolled fire. Anwar should know that. He is, after all, the mother of all firestarters.
- 2 news pick up by Malaysiakini perks me up. Well, make it more than 2, thank to Penang N12 Penanti by-election. One is on Aminah's claim that she was offered some financial gains and possibly some cusshy post if she withdraw her candidacy.
- No 2 is on Aminah's (again ?) dare to PKR Penang Chief to disclose his involvement in an unsavoury incident in a hotel in Nibong Tebal, 2 years ago.
- No 3 is the allegation that an-ex PKR rep who jump ship (where else if not in Perak) complained that he is still not paid in full for his defection to become BN friendly independent assemblyman.
- These 3 accusations and allegations are all heavy stuff. It must be addressed by Anwar, as PKR's adviser.
- Azmin Ali has brushed the accusations as baseless and in turn labelled Aminah as some old timer dancer. More than that, these accusations and allegations revealed PKR's weakness.
- To me, PKR is now acting like another UMNO. If Aminah's first claim is true, then PKR is using financial gains to entice Aminah to withdraw her candidacy. Is that the proper way to act for a party who claimed that they fight for "transperancy"?
- On second's accusation regarding PKR Penang Chief, that happens 2 years ago ie circa 2007. That is before the historic 8th March 2008 GE. If the incident happen, my question is simple. If that unsavoury incident can be hidden when PKR is not in power (yet), what stop PKR from abusing their power when they govern the state or the country in the future? The Penang Chief must stand forward to either admit or deny the accusation. This is no longer about personality, this is about the party's image.
- In both these cases, Anwar has to step in to settle the issue immediately. Anwar can't afford to hide behind Wan Azizah any longer. Yes, Wan Azizah is the PKR president but every person knows that Anwar runs the show.
- What is the problem with PKR? PKR is mainly made up of former UMNO members who quit the party because they support Anwar. UMNO call them Anwaritas. So being former UMNO former members, they act like UMNO. And when PKR won big in 2008, these Anwaritas bare their fangs to take what UMNO had left.
- Why did I say so? If you remember Ijok, Permatang Pauh, Bukit Selambau by-elections where BN takes on PR , the atmosphere is tense because of provocations, name callings by both supporters mainly from UMNO and PKR. They know each other so well like the back of their hands.
- Aminah, being an ex-PKR Penang Wanita Chief, may know some dark secrets. True or not is immaterial here. It is the perception. I want a clean man and a clean party to rule over me. If the party is as stained as UMNO, then tell me for what reason should I throw my support behind PKR?
- I wish, no, I demand Anwar to take action now. Is PKR involved in trying to induce Aminah to withdraw from Penanti by-election? If not, on what grounds are the 2 PKR members talking to Aminah? Ignorance is bliss but to claim ignorance by supreme party member is downright unacceptable. Can supreme party member act on his own in this matter and this issue? Clearly, Anwar failed to discipline his generals...
- PKR can claim that Aminah is a disgruntled ex-member. Isn't that line so familiar? It has been used by UMNO countless times. Surely PKR can do better than that.
- PKR can also claim that this is publicity stunt by Aminah. PKR can even claim that it is a by-election propaganda. How PKR looks at it, PKR has to address the issue head on because if the issue is not addressed to now, it will re-surface in other by-elections. Remember, Kelantan N41 Manek Urai is next on line.
- Now, let's go to the 3rd issue involving the allegation involving an ex-PKR (again) assemblyman turned BN-friendly. Is that true? Is it true that the assemblyman agreed to a deal involving cash amounting to RM 3 million and his charges dropped? If it is, it shows (again) that PKR has not filtered their candidate thoroughly. You can read about this in my earlier posting. It shows and prove that Anwar fails to select the best to serve the people.
- Further, if it is true, then Gopeng MP should make a police report followed by MACC report, top up with report to Suhakan and finally to HRH of Perak so that this can be investigated. get the confidante to sign a statutory of declaration (SD) although SD is just a piece of paper. I look into this seriously because if the assemblyman did make that statement, it is clear that 1M PM6 is not living to his promise of a clean government.
- Not only that, the existing Perak government is surviving on the support of a "buy out" assemblyman. This is unbecoming (and i refrain from using the word "treason"). If this is true, then HRH has been duped by a selfish assemblyman.
- I stand corrected that if the statement is true, then the situation should now be 30 for BN and 28 for PR. BN still has the majority but the majority is tainted with buy-out, the brother of bail-out. That is 1 assemblyman, what if all the 3 assemblyman who turn independents and BN friendly have similar deals. Would it not be 28 BN and 28 PR after discouning the 3 buy outs?
- 3 issues. All related to PKR. It is time for PKR to clean its house and get its act together. The cleaning must start from Anwar, by Anwar. Stop throwing stones to other peoples' home, clean your house first.
- If this simple thing is not done, Then I think the people should start looking for other alternatives. Yes, we have another 3 years to make up our mind...PKR may not be the only viable alternative...
Till then...G'nite M'sia...wherever u are...

PKR : Anwar dipersimpangan...satu penilaian.
Anwar kini dipersimpangan dilema.
They goes to the highest bidder.
Kejayaan Anwar mengumpul PKR, DAPdan PAS dibawah satu bumbung adalah kerana persamaan mereka menentang "the common enemy" iaitu jentera politik BN.
Melayu mudah lupa - Mahathir Mohamed
Keturunan Cina mempunyai Lim Goh Tong, Vincent Tan, Yeoh Tiong Lay sementara keturunan India mempunya Ananda Krisnan dan Sabah/Sarawak pula Ting.

1 Perak : LKS offers, Najib says, Anwar pitches...hope
- Before I go any further, let me say that this posting is drafted before the high court reads out its judgement on MB Nizar vs MB Zambry's case on who is the legitimate Peark MB.
- Malaysian Insider carries the title as "BN moves to clear Perak mess". I say, good strategy, wrong move.
- Good strategy when Najib says that BN is willing to co-operate with the opposition parties to resolve Perak's political crisis. Najib was then commenting on Lim Kit Siang's statement that he is willing to meet Najib to discuss Perak political impasse.
- Bad move when Najib further says that it does not necessarly mean the formation of Perak coalition government. So what Najib is implying is that, yes, we can sit down and discuss the problem but I am not giving you (opposition) any share of my cake. My cake is mine!
- Another equally bad move is when Anwar butted in to say that tyere is no reason for PR to reject the good intentions. Why can't Anwar just stay out of it, for the time being, and let Uncle Lim deals with Najib on this? Afterall, isn't this political impasse happened due to Anwar's PKR's elected reps defection to be BN friendlies?
- Reading between the lines, BN is mildly tai chiing the blame by including HRH's name into it. BN is now saying that, on BN's part, they informed HRH that they have the majority and it is HRH's decision to install BN as the Government in February 2009. How convenient of BN to place the blame to the royalty house when they are fully aware that the royalty house has no way to clarify the matter.
- BN, in one form or another, being in power for the past 50 years or so should be advising HRH that HRH's decision to install BN as the Government is legally incorrect and further advised HRH on the possible mechanism such as the vote of no confidence or the dissolution of DUN to resolve the political impasse. That, BN did not do and in itself shows BN's flaws and crave for power blinded them from following the proper procedures.
- More serious than this, BN has unconsciously implying that HRH accepts those with suspected tainted personalities (Behrang and Changkat Jering) who are openly charged in courts of law to determine the future government of Perak. And we are not talking about accusations of corruption but on their pleasures with imported "China pleasures".
- If BN were to follow the proper procedures, I am sure the political impasse will not happen and PR will be fighting, yes, but at least they will accept the "vote of no confidence" if it were properly tabled in the assembly sitting. Yes, Siva may be expelling or suspending certain ADUNs' but that in itself is , for now hearsay, and it it really happens, can be properly challenge.
- And that is why, in my earlier posting "Does 1 Perak exist?", a few possible scenarios can be acted out to resolve the political impasse. The scenarios were applicable pre-7th may 2009 and whilst some may still be applicable post 7th May 2009, the basics are still there.
- It has been pointed out that HRH should be calling both MB Nizar and MB Zambry together at the same time and whatever decisions made by HRH are read out for both of them to hear, obey and implement. The keyword is both, ie HRH's decision are to both of them. When that happens, then there is no longer the issues of misintepretations, misconceptions, misunderstandings and miscommunications.
- Of course, as in any decisions, HRH's decisions may bing joy to one party whilst the other party leaving wounded but the decisions must be respected...
- Having saying that, with less than 3 hours before the High court's judgement, let's hope for the following :-
- The high court will declare that MB Nizar is the righful MB of Perak;
- The high court advise MB Nizar to seek audience with HRH to resolve the political impasse;
- MB Nizar, with MB Zambry together, to seek audience with HRH and again request for dissolution of Perak state assembly;
- For better solution, both Mb Nizar and MB Zambry, seek audience with HRH to get Behrang and Changkat Jering to vacate their seats to pave the way for by-election;
- MB Nizar offers the formation of unity government to govern Perak;
- HRH gives MB Nizar and MB Zambry 6 months to work out the unity government, failing which HRH dissolves Perak assembly and calls for statewide elections.
That's my hope, and I know that I am being idealistics...but then again, nothing wrong in hoping for the best for Perak, at least for now. If the 1st rail line is laid in Perak, I did not see any reason why Perak cannot be the starting point for 1 malaysia...

Penang N12 : No mas, no mas...
It's time to say "no mas, no mas". This is not the Leonard-Duran boxing match that we are talking about, We are saying no mas (no more) to the unnecessary by-elections. No doubt by-elections are necessary, as provided by law, normally either through deaths or resignations. However, it has become a fashionable trend to resign from public office. Out of the 5 by-elections held within the past year, 2 is through resignation. Another 3 resignations, all in Perak, were not recognised by EC and the decision was upheld by the Judiciary system.
EC is now saying that the by-elections is costing a lot of money to the Government. Unnecessary spending and the EC said that they can only advise the political parties into ways to look into ways to stop the resignations.
1 Malaysia PM, Najib Tun Razak, says tthat this is not the time for another by-election. He claimed that this is just another poltical game.
For Joe Public, it is another carnival of sorts. In short, it is getting into the nerves of Malaysians, regardless of political standing. For the record, the 2 by-election forced by resignation of elected representatives are from PKR. It seems that PKR is unable to hold its elected reps together for reasons best known and privy to Anwar Ibrahim.

The multimillion dollar question is, Do we need this by election? Will it tip the scale, or change the Government, be it the tate or the Federal government? The answer is no and these are the reasons...
1. 1 Malaysia's PM, Najib Tun Razak, has said that this is not the time for by-election. And if Najib is truly BN supremo then it is best for BN to sit out this by-election. Let PKR wins it uncontested or face a motley bunch of independents. Nothing is lost if BN sit out the by-election. Nothing significant eitherif BN wins Penang N12.
2. Even if BN contested Penang N12 and win, it does not mean BN will rule Penang. The majority of PR in the state seats are overwhelming.
3. If PKR win Penang N12 uncontested, it does not mean PKR is gaining strength. It may send a strong signal to Anwar that Joe Public is getting tired, fed up with his antics of politicing everything under the sky.
4. It is unnecessary for EC to spend money in running the by-election which includes EC workers, logistics etc.
5. Police will be unnecessarily called to keep law and order in Penang N12. The police's main aim is to keep harmony and catch criminals so let them do what they do best.
6. DAP and PAS will need to seriously sit down with Anwar informing him to avoid pushing for by-elections in order to weed out PKR's inefficient reps. Anwar should know better than to hold Joe public ransom.
The ball is at Anwar's feet. And he better learn to play as a team player and not as an individual whose ego is bigger than his head...

PKR Penang : Dearth of state leaders...
Since Mohammad Fairus Khairuddin resigned from his post as Penang DCM 1 on April 8, Anwar Ibrahim is still looking for his replacement. The generosity of Lim GE to give DCM 1 post to PKR may proved too much for Anwar when PKR has limited choice for the post.
Under Penang DAP-PKR understanding, 3 EXCO seats are reserved for PKR and they are filled by Abdul Malik, Law Choo Kiang and Fairus. And since Fairus has stepped down from his EXCO and DCM 1post, the vacancy shall be filled by another PKR state leader, which most probably be given to Maktar Shapee.
Now, from the 3 EXCOs', Anwar has to propose one as Penang DCM 1. This is where the headache starts. Who shall it be? In terms of seniority in state service, both Abdul Malik and Law will have the edge over Maktar, but Anwar may have other criteria for Penang DCM 1...
So now its Anwar's turn to sweat a little as the vacancy should be filled and Lim GE has indicated that the DCM shall be named by 15th April..and that has passed with Anwar failing to meet the dateline.
No doubt, the state administration can still function without DCM 1 but politically it shows that Anwar, and for that matters PKR, is not ready to lead the state much less the nation. If Anwar cannot brings out the best of PKR to be Penang DCM 1, then what has he got at federal level?
Are there too much lobbying for the post? Or has Anwar finally realise that PKR gros too big too fast that PKR do not have leaders at all layers? Will Anwar be blaming others for his own shortfall? Or will he offer the carrot to UMNO representatives in Penang DUN? With Anwar, everything is possible, as long as it satisfy his needs...
It is time for Anwar to learn that critisizing is easy, badmouthing is easier, giving excuses is the easiest...but when it comes to make decisions, it is a tough nut to crack...and it is also time for Anwar to dispense with all his theories because apparently he is failing in his first practical exam - that of choosing Penang DCM 1.

Of transformation : The needs, the demands, the capability and ...

Officiating the opening of joint UMNO Wanita - Pemuda and putri wings, UMNO's number 2 outline part of his wish list. His 66 paragraph speech acknowledge the importance of new media and the need to stamp out money politics. Personally, it is a good speech but whether UMNO can follow through with the contents of the speech is another matter.
It is easy to list down the virtues with the dos' and the don'ts....but to live up to that expectation is another matter altogether.
NTR mention 2 battle cries - Berani Berubah and espirit de corp...so readers, u can now see that NTR is actually banking on either MM or KJ to win. Sayonara KT...you are now out of the picture....
Since the voting has started, it is no point to pore over who will win the UMNO youth. I have given my piece here.
In paragraph 31, NTR has implicitly mentioned that Wanita UMNO is doing fine and there is no neccesity to revamp the wing for temporary euphoria. That says a lot about NTR's respect towards Rafidah Aziz. She may not be receiving the loudest applause last night, but win or lose, she will walk out with her heads held high in pride. I still maintain what I write in terms of my choice on who should be the Wanita chief.
NTR keep on harping on the need to transform if UMNO were to stay relevant in Malaysian politics. UMNO must realise that their strength comes from the grassroots support and not from the elitist few. In this turbulence, UMNO needs to find the right footing if they were to stand against the "winds of change" sweeping the country and now gripping in Sarawak.
In this aspect, UMNO is at par with PKR in finding stability. PKR is hit by the defections in Perak, the resignation of Kedah exco, the resignation of DCM no 1 post of Penang. This clearly indicates that PKR is now the weak link in PR.
It is now the race against time and who can stabilise earlier will have distinct advantage over the other. Anwar can forget about becoming the next PM for this coming 3 years. NTR has already smell the sweetness of PM's post, it's only a matter of crossing the line.
Anwar needs to forget about accusing others in PKR's failures to get good and clean reps. PKR is becoming an embarassment to PR. How long can PR stand with PKR's endless problems. Time will show.
NTR needs to get UMNO regroup and prepared for the battles to come. UMNO can forget about Bukit Gantang. As it is, Bukit Gantang will be painted green, comes 7th April 2009. NTR's best chance is to recapture Bukit Selambau since tat will be represented by PKR.
For Batang Ai, it will be touch and go. If Zorro and his team of BR bloggers can penetrate the Rumah panjang with their brand of campaigning, BN may lost the seat. And that will be the beginning of ATM's downfall in Sarawak.
NTR has outline the transformation needed by UMNO. And UMNO, by now, understands the needs to transform. UMNO understand the demands and the sacrifice that they need to offer to gain the masses's re-acceptance of UMNO but the foremost question is whether UMNO has the capability to transform or they has misplaced that capability.
UMNO has turn into an elitist group, zooming and out with fancy cars, play polo instead of soccer, nights out in bars and lounges instead of warung kopi, pray in shopping complexes instead of suraus and masjids, wear suits instead of baju melayu wwith skull cap, cigar smoking in 5 star hotels instead of rokok dauns...in short UMNO has lost its identity. To transform, UMNO needs to go backs to basics and then move forward with the transformation.
UMNO now is a cheerleading party, with putris, UMNO youths donning t-shirts wih candidate numbers, shouting their voice hoarse to canvass for that extra additional votes. They are no longer the "budak kampung" who are rich in adat ketimuran melayu. What they are now, is a reflection of their leaders aspiration...rude and arrogant. Don't believe me? Just see for yourselves the happenings in and around PWTC...you will be surprised....
So, to my UMNO friends...the time for change is here, the call for transformation is there, it is either UMNO is willing to change or forever stuck in their own time zone, out of touch with reality and spurned by the masses...
