These are the main actors to the ebbing of Perak Government which subsequently leads to the vacancy of MB post of Perak. After a flurry of meeting held between BN and the palace and later between MB and the palace, the Sultan of Perak decided that BN has the numbers to form the next Government of Perak and there is no need to dissolve the state assembly.
However, the embattled MB wanted the Sultan to follow due course and his reasoning is based on the fact that the house speaker has filed a suit to the courts claiming that there are the 3 independent representatives has vacated their seats.
So where does that leads us? All parties should respect the decision made by the Sultan, regardless of their political affliation.
What are the lessons learn from this episode ?
1. In politics, there are no everlasting friends and there are no permanent enemies, case in point is Datuk Nasirudin Hashim whose credentials includes as Anwar's college and room mate in university;
2. That elected reps, after being elected, can disregard the wishes of his constituents and make his own choice, case in point Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi and Mohd Osman Mohd Jailu who elected to quit PKR;
3. That politics is a cut throat business, case in point the collapse of Perak government;
4. Anwar is strategically beaten by his one time protege, NTR;
5. PR needs to have their own internal post morten, swallowing their pride to learn from this lesson;
6. BN need to perform better if they were to keep Perak in the next GE;
Enough said...
Till then...G'nite M'sia...wherever u are...
