Of riding in... the waterway style

A little bird from the north has warned and foreseen that the present political manouvers is just a rumble of things to come. The end is nowhere near... it is just an illusion...

Politicians will take advantage of whatever situations befall them. Right now, lets forget about Anwar Ibrahim and his never ending quest to be PM. Many in UMNO circles has write him off. The problem with Anwar is he is a victim of his own obsession and saying that, Anwar can be easily manipulated by his enemies. This is not the first time... nor will it be the last time Anwar will fall repeatedly into the same trap as long as he could not keep his obsession to be PM in check.

Anwar, as former UMNO youth chief, should have a commandable position, now that he is fully pardoned. Back in early 1990's, Anwar and his fresh crop of youth leaders lead Team Wawasan  show Ghaffar Baba that "old is no vintage", sending the old man to pasture.

3o years on, Anwar's assistants of 1993 matured leaders on their own rights and 2 of them pipped Anwar to be PM. Yes, they are PM 6 and PM8. In fact, PM8, abah Din, becomes his fiercest competitor. That can be said another day... Latest : Is there any particular reason why UMNO is leaning on Anwar these days? Is it possible that Anwar is calling his former henchmen in UMNO for support to his never-ending quest to beome PM?

Lately, there is another twist when little by little, the real players reveal their cards. Many blamed Azmin for the Sheraton move and he did wrote a poem on it... maybe to justify the end.

Hishamuddin with his baggage is works behind the spotlight and now slowly shows his fangs. He is not one person to be ignored as he happens to be the son of Hussein Onn and maybe have a few scores to setlle with Tun M.

With Hishamuddin outside UMNO supreme council but at the same time appointed Federal minister in PN, it is best for Hishamuddin to report to abah Din for his survival. That means Hishamuddin is not binded bt UMNO supreme council and may be leading a double life in return to his political life. It may well be correct if Hishamuddin teaming with Azmin and may be the duo who will force abah Din resigning on health basis.

Najib Razak will not be the stumbling block to Azmin-Hishamuddin combo as he too may benefitted from the relationship. Afterall, Hishamuddin is Najib's cousin and they say blood is thicker than water. Latest : On top of that, it seems that Najib Razak is somehow interconnected with Azmin through marriage. Apparently, Najib's son is married to iron lady's daughter and one of her offspring is married to Azmin's. Small world in politics!!! Najib may be given a lifeline with Azmin-Hishamuddin combo...

The northern little bird warned me that if Hishamuddin get his way, we are doomed... als, he refuse to elaborate further.

Me? Hishamuddin may come through the waterway when all eyes are looking to the sky and scour the ground. I would prefer PH to get his power back and govern Malaysia until 2023 and let the rakyat choose who they prefer for GE 15. 2018 has shown that the rakyat has chosen PH over BN and thus any shift of power from PH is just not right...

 Till then...G'nite M'sia...wherever u are...

Of UMNO's blanks, BERSATU's dilemma and...

Historical... a sitting PM got his economic emergency proposal turned down and peeling his onion skins, still refuse to step down in dignity...

The past few days have been revealing. It shows the real state of Malaysia politics and politicians put selves above nations. They will pounce on whatever opportunities they have to propel themselves to reach their political heights. All done at the expense of the people. In many ways, it reminds me of animal farm and Ninenteen eigthy four.

When I mentioned the week before about small birds twitter that something big is going to happen last week, it did happen. However, the ending prediction was a bit off...

Daulat Tuanku... menjujung kasih. YDPA did it right when his majesty called on his ruler brothers to discuss and decide on Abah Din's economic emergency proposal. The council of Rulers make the right decision to flatly reject Abah Din's proposal.

Abd Kadir Jasin is right to interpret when he mentioned Abah |Din's shaky position. Actually, it is not only him but the entire cabinet. Here, BERSATU youth shows that they are really wet nehind the ears in claiming "ÍF IT IS NOT BROKEN, WHY FIX IT". The truth is - it is broken beyond repair...

UMNO, being an opportunist party since day One, puts additional pressure to Abah Din. Alas, being an opportunist party translates into having opportunist party leaders - and that clearly shows in UMNO's supreme council meeting. This is where Abah Din tried to take advantage when someone from his camp claims that Abah Din is waiting for UMNO's DPM pick. Is it necessary? Abah Din is playing for time and UMNO is baying for blood.

Who is DPM calibre in UMNO? Right now, Zahid is the head assisted by Tok Mat NS and supported by Ismail Sabri, Khaled Nordin and Mahdzir Khalid. Honestly, not a good crop this time around. For the sake of Abah Din's vacant DPM post, I will say Zahid Hamidi is UMNO's automatic choice. Yes, he has court cases pending but as they say in court - you are innocent until proven guilty.  Now, that should be interesting. I hope UMNO just give 1 name and that name is Zahid Hamidi and let Abah Din sweat more. Why? Simple... an MP will not be disqualified from his position as long as he is not fined more than a certain amount or sent to jail. Zahid Hamidi is not undergoing any of the two possibilities.. meaning he is still a free man.

With UMNO pushing Zahid as DPM, abah Din has a lot of soul searching to do. If Zahid is found guilty, UMNO's will cease supporting his already frail government and abah Din needs to resign. BUT, if Zahid is cleared of all charges then the rakyat will think that abah Din may influence the judiciary to act on Zahid's favour and that is not a good GE15 material. Further, if Zahid is innocent, then abah Din has an additional dagger behind him, ready to given abah Din the final plunge.

Tok Mat NS is free of court cases BUT he needs to be first appointed as senator before he can be DPM. That, in reality is easier said than done.. knowing Azmin and Hamzah will be putting all sorts of roadblocks along the way. For UMNO's VPs, their road to DPM will be extremely difficult and thorny with Azmin and Hamzah in abah Din's inner circle.

Hishamuddin Hussein? That will be a good case study. He dream of DPM post but he is not in UMNO's supreme council... that said, will he be breaking UMNO's unwritten rule on hierachy and seniority?

Most of all... can UMNO stand Azmin's constant politicking and Hamzah's continual bitching if UMNO ever get DPM post?

Or is UMNO firing blanks now and abah Din finally realise that UMNO has liost its bite? Even so, BERSATU cannot be banking on turncoat Azmin as DPM. Catch 22 for abah Din.

For now, abah Din may survive 2021 budget voting but it will not be sweet victory. Abah Din is on borrowed time and his option is running out.

Me? I say give the power back to PH and let them run the show. Come GE 15, we the rakyat will decide again...can't the politicians do that? The rakyat is now saying #rakyatjagarakyat# because politicians are not caring for the rakyats... what politicians want is fattening their purse, at all cost.

Till then...G'nite M'sia...wherever u are...

Of Abah Din's beaten political gambit... towards last days

How to begin when everything is going south, nothing is going smoothly as planned? Malaysians has been patient and considerably muted in expressing their displeasure. That should not be taken advantage of, when Malaysians show who is the boss at GE 14, ousting the well established and well oiled BN political machinery.

Fast forward to 2020. Tun M resigns as PM7 and Abah Din managed to wriggle in as PM8. From thereon, things is not rosy for Abah Din...

 Remember their faces...

Latest : An emergency Malay Ruler conference will be held on 25th October (Sunday) to discuss Abah Din's proposal to declare economic emergency...

Honestly, what do you think of Abah Din's proposal to declare economic emergency? Is it really necessary? Or is it just an attempt to avoid Nov 2 parliamentary sitting?  Ahh... before we go further, let's take a few steps back in history...

Remember PM4? Many called him Mahafiraun and such... he leads Malaysia for 2 decades. Let's not talk about his glory and his eternal bickering with Anwar Ibrahim. Other than that, he will be forever known as the PM who introduce laws to manage the rulers in 2 ways. One, a law passed and voted in parliament shall automatically take effect after 2 weeks, with or without the Rulers penned signature. Second, he introduce special courts for royalty, meaning that nobody is above the law.

During his time, his adversaries were Ku Li and Anwar Ibrahim. Despite close calls and almost losing his PMship, Tun M never invokes emergency rule to keep his post. That is fact.

Now, let's skip PM5 and go to PM 6, Najib Tun Razak. During Pak Lah's tenure, Anwar's failed in his  16th September 2008 attempt. Pak Lah is not afraid of Anwar's claim and does not include of possibly using Darurat to maintain his position.

PM 6 Najib, despite his 1 MDB fiasco, introduce another chapter of Malaysian law when he pushed through Akta Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN). The act basically empowers PM to dclare any zone as emergency without the need to consult YDPA..However, the enorcement is limited to specific areas and does not cover nationwide coverage. The nationwide coverage still falls under the purview of YDPA.

Even with such powerful arsenal at his disposal to squash streets demonstration, Najib did not invoke that during the height of demonstration where thousands took to the streets to voice displeasure against his 1MDB actions.

Now comes PM 8 Abah Din. Is there a real need to declare economic emergency? With all the MCOs and CMCOs, the rakyats did not take to the streets (yet) and they stoodfast against the aftermath of COVID 19 and try their best to ride out the economic fallout.

Abah Din's announcements of aids benefitted the public sector whilst the private sector needs to find ways to keep on surviving. Yes, many businesses close down and many more individuals will face bankers notice come November when the moratorium ends. Yet, they stand tall and face the challenges with pride.

Anwar's recent announcement that he has the numbers and was politely turn down by YDPA makes Aah Din shivers. Shivers at the thoughts of losing his PM ship. In this situation, Abah Din could not afford to disciplined his cabinet. Ministers like Takiudin Al Takiri we let scot free when everyone sees that he flaunt the law. When a student was fines RM 1000, and another jailed for breaching the SOP, he goes free. Why? For a simple reason - abah Din needs his vote in parliament to protect his supposedly 113 votes in a 222 parliament.

Ku Li, Zahid, Najib, Bung Mokhtar are just a few names that is on collision course with Abah Din. If you took their votes out, Abah Din will only have 109 votes, at most. That is short of a simple majority. What options does Abah Din have now?

His FM is not a seasoned politician. In fact, he is appointed. Being a banker, his aim is to strengthened bankers at rakyats' expense. Do you think he can present a goody budget for the rakyats? If Abah Din is confident that his budget is good, then he should not be afraid to face parliament and present budget 2021 for voting comes 2nd November.

YDPA politely turn down Abah Din's request to declare economic emergency and instead informed that he needs to consult his rulers brothers. That is diplomacy...

If there is a real need for emergency, I am sure YDPA will be well advised. The situation is more of saving abah Din,s position as PM and YDPA prefers to be above politics. Can an emergency Rulers conference be called by Wednesday 28th next week? If it does, then there is a small window for Abah Din, if the Rulers conference accepted his explaination of the need for economic emergency. Remember that parliament is set to convene on Monday 2nd November.

Will it not be better to let parliament decide? First decide whether Abah Din has the majority support as PM. If he still has the support, then let Abah Din runs the country. UMNO ceasefire declaration? With uncertainties and no goodies for UMNO, there is nothing abah Din can do to hold UMNO to their words. After all, all it needs is just a minimum of 4 UMNO lawmakers to absent themselves from the voting. Mind you that the numbers can be higher... but that is not necessary for comment here.

UMNO, PKR, Amanah, DAP has all spoken out against the economic emergency. PAS, is lost in transition whilst Sabah and Sarawak is holding their breath. What's next?

All eyes will be on the speaker. Unfortunately, thus far, he has failed to make his grade. He is a pale comparison to what he once was...  Maybe this time around, he will do what is right and put the vote of no confidence for voting. Let's resolve the issue without everyone running to YDPA. YDPA has other things to do better that to listen to the squabbles of MPs trying to be PM...

If Tun M, Abah Din, Bossku Najib and abang Non is too engrossed in strategising to be PM, then let YDPA elect another person who can lead this country in a YDPA's-sponsored unity government. Maybe KJ, Fahmi or even Rafizi can take up this post, albeit temporarily until we best COVID 19.

Me? I hear Gen Y, Z and whatever that comes after tweeting and trending. They want abah Din out of the equation. Surprisingly, these new generations are talking as Malaysians. Better hear their collective voice because they are our leaders in the future...

By the way, where are other cabinet minsters? So far, not many voice support on economic emergency. Annuar Musa seems to have a different idea on the real aim of the move. It is more on politics than economics.

After almost 2 weeks of CMCO in Klang valley, there is a decrease in numbers of those infected. So, is it really necessary to have economic emergency? Your call, abah Din...

Noor Hisham has mentioned of physical and mental fatigue faced by frontliners. He even specifically mentioned PRN Sabah as one of the main contributors to the recent surge of cases. Being a public servant, Noor Hisham cannot say more and he has to check himself so as to be politically neutral. It is the likes of Abah Din, Annuar Musa who will pounce on Noor Hishams's plea to gain political mileage and achieve what they aimed to do ie to prologue parliament.

Of carving out UMNO... TSMY's style

UMNO is at dangerous crossroad. It's head is directing to the north whilst the mid-section is wobbling south. All thanks to Abah Din's brilliant strategy of carving out UMNO to bits and pieces...

Remember the time when Abah Din was unceremoniously bundled out of his position by the then powerful Najib Razak. That was 2015... Now 2020 is Abah Din's turn.

After years of lying low, Abah Din is thrusted to the spotlight taking over from Atuk. With a fragile and loose coalition, Abah Din moulds his own cabinet including UMNO MPs. The same UMNO party that sacked him from his cabinet post... This time around he chose Hishamuddein, Khairy, Ismail Sabri amongst the UMNO MP's as his cabinet ministers. Looks fine, right? WRONG!!!

Khairy is Rembau MP...  By that virtue, Abah Din can appoint him as a minister in Abah Din's gloated cabinet. But... Khairy is not in UMNO's hierachy of power., he is not a supreme council member of UMNO, either elected or appointed. That said, it is a great wonder how Khairy is elected as Abah Din's cabinet minister, unless Abah Din did not consult UMNO on his appointment.

The same goes to Hishamuddin Husein. Abah Din did not include Zahid as one of his senior minister. Maybe this is done on purpose because Zahid is having his own problems in court. Abah Din do not want to be seen as pulling the strings behind the scene... or is he pulling the strings to tightened Zahid's throat?

When Abah Din opts for Hajiji in Sabah, Abah Din is sending message to UMNO telling them who is the real Boss. Despite his unstable position, Abah Din has cut and put UMNO to his place, down from the King to the court jester.

UMNO can cry, UMNO can threatened but Abah Din knows very well that UMNO is now a paper tiger... Those UMNO MPs in the cabinet will not hesitate to switch their allegiance to Abah Din and let Zahid and Co fly kite. Eventhough Bersatu needs UMNO's support in twarting off Anwar's forever "I am the next PM" script, all should be fine.

What UMNO needs is a constant flow of titbits, be it in the form of GLC chairmanship or political post, and they should be happy licking their toy bone at the corner. That can last for 2 years, enough for Abah Din to call the next GE.

UMNO is divided and fragmented. UMNO's supreme council is not reflected in Abah Din;s cabinet. For all you know, Abah Din is whispering to Hishamuddein to take on Zahid Hamidi whilst Khairy taking on Tok Mat, his own divisional leader. Senior minister Ismail Sabri is good to keep Najib in check.

Abah Din don't need UMNO as UMNO needs him. At least for now. UMNO can play whatever shadowplay they like or potrays themselves as kingmaker. The whole world knows and silently agree that UMNO is now the court jester... doing their best for toy bones...

Me? I love seeing UMNO humiliated and I pity them because they are lost in transition. Zahid is their leader but spend more time in court. Tok Mat is deputy to Zahid but he is no MP. UMNO is in dilemma... they want to enrich themselves but they are doing that at the expense of GE 15. Maybe they will lose mre because they have sold their soul to Abah Din...

Of Covid : politicking and threat...

This is not good. This sudden spike of cases since the recently concluded PRN Sabah is hurting Malaysia in more ways than one. Whilst Klang valley is placed under CMCO, the rest of the country suffers the same with Sabah leading the country in terms of infected patients.

Still, the politicians are placing priorities in a different order than the rest of us... To them, power is the axis of their existence, compared to ordinary citizens who are praying for the pandemic to pass Malaysia in the near future...

Look around you in Kuala Lumpur and you will realise that the norms is no longer there... Gone are the normal early morning traffic and the mid day lunch hour is scarily eerie. The Menara cluster is affecting Telecommunication players and spreading like peatfire, waiting to burst wide open.

Simmering next to it is proton whereby some of its employees has been tested positive. 49 tested positive is not a small number. Combined these 2 and we have a potential threat that burst into a gulf of fire.

When everyone is concerned about this threat, what did our politicians do? They are busy strategisiing how to maximise their political stature and standing. Abah Din is not willing to accept the fact that he has loss the confidence of MPs. Instead of thinking how to make a graceful exit, he is busy dealing to keep his position. Frankly, whatever he offers will not satisfy UMNO in a long run. It will be more like a short-term reprive which can see a shocking end if and when budget 2021 is tabled and goes for voting. I fear the thoughts of Abah Din failing to get the numbers to pass his budget...

Abang Non (Anwar) is no different. He choose this time, of all times, to nudge Abah Din off the PM chair. He claimed he has the numbers but he did not reveal the list of names supporting him. His strategists claim this is to prevent harrasment to the MPs supposedly supporting him. As sudden as he make his announcement, abang Non goes on stealth mode and let his supporters and the rest to take up his issue... be it for and against.

Tun M and Ku Li? Being veteran politicians, they keep the guessing game interesting. Many will write off Tun M... I say, he has his worth... the only problem is I cannot fathom Tun M's next step. Not like Abang Non and Abah Din whose next step is easily read. Ku LI, in my opinion is not interested to helm the country. The most he wants is to be an interim PM to ride off Covid wave...

YDPA has his own interpretation of what should be the best step to end the political stalemate. To me, Art Harun should step up and play his role well and let the man with the most support runs the country... I look forward to see the same gusty Art Harun of 2015. Call for an emergency sitting to resolve the issue... let those elected do it once and for all...

If fate has it that MPs stick to Abah Din, then let it be. If they opts for Anwar to take over and finally realise his dreams of becoming PM then we should accept him as that. he MPs can also fall back on an interim PM with unified all-party participation, I can digest that... be it Tun M or Ku LI...

Honestly, sitting way back here, I hope Abah Din to relieve his post and let others to take the mantle. Abah Din has done his part... and he needs to rest and attend to his health...

To me, KKM has done their best and TS Norhisham is overburden with the rising Covid case. He don't need the meddling and power hungry MPs to make his day worse. Is it too much to ask?

 Till then...G'nite M'sia...wherever u are...

Of riddling numbers...

Yes, Anwar fianally gets his chance to present his case to YDPA. Soon after, elderly UMNO adviser Ku LI make his way to see YDPA. News are after this, DAP, Amanah, MIC and UMNO, in no particular order, will be called in to meet YDPA...(Noted : Latest news : the audience by respective party leaders has been postponed... some say due to the pandemic, some say because AI does not have the numbers, some says ....?)

Did AI has the numbers? He claimed, confidently, he has more than 120 ayes...  Palace sources said he did not produce the who's who list to YDPA. Wee... AI has the numbers with no names?

It's Get Smart time...

Ku LI certainly add a new twist to the never ending AI's dreams of becoming PM. Could it be Ku Li is the one who brings the namelist to YDPA? Or YDPA is consulting Ku Li as he is seen as UMNO adviser cum elder statesman cum royalty member?

Abah Din certainly try to cool off things by having a press conference of his own and trying his best to potray that he is hard at work in tackling issues pertaining to COVID 19.  Abah Din cited unavoidable reasons being the primary reason for delays in containing the pandemic in Sabah. What Abah Din failed to mention is that the wildfire-like spread is probably caused by PRN Sabah and the sudden influx of politicians to Sabah during the campaign period.

See the picture? It looks like Abah Din is tired and fatigue. Abah Din's live explaination on COVID prove that he is not a pro-active type of guy. His action is more on reactionary state. What will Abah Din's response to UMNO's terms and conditions to remain in PN?

UMNO is squeezing Abah Din by the balls and there is nothing much Abah Din can do. However, if UMNO suceeds in their demands and new Terms & Conditions, it will further distance UMNO with the common rakyat. It will finally proven that UMNO puts its interest first and the rakyat last in their sets of priorities.

PAS wanted to be seen as kingmaker. However, as of the time of this writing, PAS is still praying for an invitation to meet YDPA...

What about Sabah and Sarawak political parties? Insider sources mentions that Sabah and Sarawak are priviledged persons. They will only go with winner, be it Abah Din or AI... So it seems that the main battle line is in the peninsular. The person with the most MP backing in peninsular have the advantage in Sabah and Sarawak, provided the right sweetener is there...

My other little bird from Pekan mentioned that something is brewing and erption is expected by next week whilst the Langkawi birdie says this are just part of the drama series... the ending is still far off...

Another whisperer mentioned about possible puppet masters pulling strings from behind the curtains. You know... the "I help you, you help me" kind. These puppet masters have been in the game decades ago and many in the corridors of power are indebted to them, either because of financial hold, "good behaviour" bonds and other misdeeds that only the parties concerned are in the know. These puppet masters may be pulling strings and dampen whatever hopea that Anwar is having, afterall Anwar only promises not to practise political witchunts but he never promise non-action to age-old puppet masters...

Me? I am glad I am not the one losing sleep over AI's burning ambition to be PM. Thus I don't make promises that I can't keep although I know "I have miles to go before I sleep"...

Till then...G'nite M'sia...wherever u are...

Of panicky, panicky PASnUMNO...

Anwar's supposedly scheduled audience on 13th October invites a lot of speculation, ranging from another change of government to another "no number" from Anwar and maybe a "no show" at all...

Whilst many waited for the political power to be handed back to the deserving, there are those who fear the change. These is most true when it comes to "Kera mendapat bunga" PAS and "Sudah jatuh ditimpa tangga" UMNO...

Before we go further to those panicky guys, there is one Whatsapp message that catch my attention... Basically, the message ponders on the need for Bani Melayu to be united under Islamic Malay governance.

That is what UMNO cum PAS cum Abah Din's BERSATU cum Azmin has been hyping when they took over the government in March 2020. However, what comes out of it is not as rosy as what was previously painted and promises made by PAS remains far from reality.

Whenever there is a hint of resistance, PAS especially will trigger the fear of DAP-led government when they know pretty well that DAP could not possibly be leading the government with 42 out of 222 MPs. Yet, this is the same weapon used at every turn and corner to put uncertainties to the rural Malays. Do PAS and UMNO fare better in the past 7 months when they took the opportunity to seize the government? The nightlife is still there and worse, PAS openly reminded their supporters not to ask about hudud or RUU355 now that they are in power. Instead, PAS leaders are threatening their own party members with make-up fatwa to put fear in their members ie do not question their leaders as though PAS leaders are above all sins...

Now that PAS is on the same bed with UMNO, issues like LGBT, drunk drivers, Adib's untimely death is no longer focussed. The priority for PAS leaders now is how to secure plump GLC chairmanship... ala ghanimah (spoils of war) akin to the time when the early Muslims thought they won the battle in Uhud.

PAS boasted they have the expertise to run the government and they has a pool of resources to do better than BN or Pakatan Harapan of the past. And yet, PAS, especially, failed to produce a good and comprehensive SOP for religious activities. Singapore, with non-Islamic party in their government fare better than PN-led government which PAS is an integral part of the coalition.

The recent announcement by Anwar Ibrahim is sending jitters to UMNO. Whilst its President acknowledged the possibilities of UMNO MPs supporting Anwar's desire to be PM9, Anuar Musa who is UMNO secretary cum BN Secretary cum PN secretary rejected the news and firmly declare that UMNO is supporting Abah Din. Dear Anuar, what can prevent individual UMNO MPs from supporting AI?

If you guys are following the news, you will notice that PAS is reviving their old slogans and now again talking about RUU355, drunk driving.. and yet still silent on other issues.

Whether Anwar indeed has the numbers or not, the equation of 13th October is getting interesting. I pray for the power to be handed back to Pakatan Harapan minus Abah Din's and Azmin's factions... I don't care whether Atok Tun M is in the equation or not and I prefer him to be a constant ie independent and non-comittal to maintain his stand.

UMNO and PAS can go fly kites together and let their MPs to make judgement decision. Hadi can go back to his Marang seat whilst Din Takiri can go back to his Nerus home in his Audi. Anuar Musa can start working on his pension...

If AI is all-inclusive, he should work closely with Shafie's Warisan and put a Sabahan or a Sarawian as his deputy. But knowing AI, he may end up naming his wife (sic) as his deputy...

Me? I am not politically connected nor a member of any political party. What I yearn for is a change of government after more than 50 years under UMNO-led coalition governments. Is it too much to ask?

 Till then...G'nite M'sia...wherever u are...

Of increasing numbers, unsubstantiated numbers and ....

This is going to be another roller coaster week. This time... I will make it short...

Politicians, being politicians, will politicise every issue and worse, will make use of issues to their full advantage.

Whilst KKM is trying their utmost best to control COVID spread and re-assign health personnel to provide additional support staff to areas with high infection, the politicians are busy making police reports as well as spinning on the numbers for AI's Tuesday audience with YDPA.

Idris Jusoh, UMNO MP, make a police report denying that he is supporting AI. First, nobody says that he is supporting AI and yet, like a person who is threatened by his own shadow, Idris make a police report denying. Maybe, Idris's GLC's appointment as FELDA Chairperson is too lucrative and rewarding enough for him to forego whatever beliefs he has...

Another Terengganu MP, Khairudin Al Takiri, out of the blues calls for banning on gambling and clamping down alchohol consumption. To me, as long as his Turkey trip is not properly dealt with, he has no locus standi....

AI has not publicise his list of purported MPs that supported him. And yet, so many are on overdrive to deny and derail his ambition. To me, wait until Tuesday because with all the COVID cases spring u here and there, don'tyou think it is encircling closer to the venue of Anwar's audience this Tuesday?

For all you know, Tuesday audience may be cancelled and postponed yet again... and Anwar vainly will be forever PM in waiting...

Me? I want a strong government, not the fragile government of Abah Din nor do I pray for an early GE 15. Not when COVID is here.. At the same time, I have no wish to see Najib let off the hook or Zahid's case see a premature ending.

Till then...G'nite M'sia...wherever u are...

Of forecasted week ahead.... dream, hopes and protected territory

Crusing into this weekend, Anwar makes another claim...he claims that he is granted audience with YDPA next Tuesday. Let's wait if this really happens, but for now.... what is the possible scenario...

The first scenario is, God forbids, another red herring. The audience was never granted and everybody got a free ride, courtesy of Anwar Ibrahim. That will be the biggest letdown for the week.

Next, the audience really happens. However, it is just Anwar and wife making courtesy call to YDPA and talking about HRH's health. Nothing more and nothing less. That will also be another big letdown and Anwar can spin tales out of the audience to bolster his claim.... it is a shallow and hollow illusion.

Now comes the better scenario... Yes, Anwar finally gets the chance to submit his list of supporters and upped Abah Din in terms of support. For the sake of argument, let's say the numbers are convincing. YDPA can pour cold water and request Anwar not to rock the boat and let status quo remains, meaning Abah Din and company still runs the country.. in whatever way Abah Din sees fit.

What is Anwar really has the numbers and YDPA acknowledge he has the numbers. What's next? YDPA can brings up the matter with Abah Din when the PM has his weekly audience before chairing weekly cabinet meeting. Here, Abah Din can propose to graciously step down and make way for Anwar to be PM9. Or, he can request for a special parliament sitting to let the MPs vote and show hands. Worst, if Abah Din decided to request for YDPA to dissolve parliament and go for early election.

If that happens, then Abah Din is truly a politician who puts his interest above the nation. Even if there is an early election, the scene will be BERSATU's humiliating demise from Malaysia's political equation.

To me, Anwar may have the support of PKR, Amanah, DAP, Warisan and Sarawak based parties plus independent UMNO MPs. That means UMNO is not the kingmaker per se. Instead, it is a show of no confidence to UMNO's stand ie (Anuar Musa's stand) to be with Bersatu's PN.

I would prefer this scenario better as this would eliminate the rakyat's perception of Anwar giving in and side dealing with Najib or Zahid on the upcoming cases. What about Pejuang and Muda? I see that Pejuang may stay neutral in this case whilst Muda may opt to support Anwar Ibrahim.

These few days will be a testing and tired times for Abah Din. Abah Din's Sabah CM has appointed PAS as one of the six selected assembly person despite public objection from STAR's Jeffrey Kitingan and PBS's Maximus. Despite a trying show of solidarity by accepting PAS in... STAR and PBS has lost its shine and seemed to be squeezed by BERSAT's peacock mannerism.

Abah Din needs to placate Jefrey fast and in placating Jefrey, Abah Din may alienate UMNO's Zahid further from the party's grassroot feeling and resentment towards Abah Din.

Me? I like the sounds of Bursa KL performance, be it because of Abah Din's rotan statement or news of Anwar's audience with YDPA. What is important is to put Malaysia back on its feet and move forward, not like  Top glove who will be spending up to RM 136 million in order to overcome forced labour claims.

Will Anwar get his dream of becoming PM, will it be an answer to Malaysian hopes of getting good governance or will Abah Din still roams in his protected territory of peacocks... next week will tell...

Of mishandling and mismanaging political pandemic...

A new normal emerged due to gobal mpandemic of COVID 19. Regardless of whetehr it is a 1st world or 3rd world, everybody is hit hard, unprepared to face God's wrath.

Malaysia is different. With Abah Din at the helm, mishandling and mismanaging the pandemic comes second to politics.

First, let us start what seerah says about handling wabak (be it epidemic or pandemic). seerah is a collection of what prophet Mohamad pbuh advise in facing wabak. Basically he says that you must isolate the person ot the area. That means nobody goes in and nobody goes out of the infected area. In one instance, one sahabay was advised to move out of the infected area and he refuse because he firmly holds to prophet Mohamad's seerah. That is how the generation after prophet Mohamad deals with wabak.

Fast forward to present day Malaysia. Despite the world labelling COVID 19 as pandemic and many countries practising isolation, Abah Din's government place their political ambition above national interest. Thus, instead of aiming for single digit infection, we get a spike after Sabah state election.

Now, MAZA comes up with how prophet Mohamad handles wabak...  What Perlis mufti is recapping what prophet Mohamad teaches us in facing wabak :-

1.  Do not expose yourself to known danger. Prophet Mohamad says "If you know a place is riddled with cholera (wabak), avoid the place, and if you are in that area, do not move out". 1400 years ago and prophet Mohamad has already talked about quarantine.

2.  If you are infected, you must go for medication and when the right medication comes, you will surely be cured

It is clear as daylight when Mohamad mentions isolation aka quarantine. What did our dearest politicians did? Instead of practising safety first, they travelled all over Sabah canvassing for votes and in return, accelerated the disease in peninsular Malaysia, be it in Kedah, Terengganu, Selangor, Kelantan... (meaning be it BN, PH, PN, MN) - all are guilty in accelerating the disease to such an extent that dstricts in Malaysia are getting CMCO soon.

This is what politicians do - they put their political ambitions above the nation's interest and health. Instead of working towards signle digit infection, Malaysia is going to tripple digit infection. Thanks to the politicians.

This is mashandling and mismanaging wabak. Ustaz Zul Al Bakri is equally guilty of exposing others to potential infection. Abah Din's mismanaging of Din Takiri is not getting him an A+ in his KPI. Let u see how Abah Din handles from hereon....

Let it be known that  Till then...G'nite M'sia...wherever u are...

Of canning caning...

Honestly, I am not sure where PM Abah Din is heading. Whatever his chosen course, I see that he is fast losing his spinning ability. He is now seemed to care more about his PMship then to uphold justice, and forgo the double standar claim... How many of you really waited for Abah Din's live telecast speech yesterday? Many of my friends do not border to wairt whilst my younger sibling was on the radio listening whether he needs to break his journey and return to his hometown or not. Me? I did not hear his speech in full. Enough to catch Abah Din's denial of "double standard" practice when it comes to his ministers. Come On Abah Din, you can do better than that. What is the use of denying when the whole nation is still waiting for your action (err caning) Din Takiri, Plantation Industries and Commidities Minister. You can claim that the papers are still at AG's office but hey.... does it take that long and is it too complicated for you to fine and cane Din Takiri for flouting SOP involving his trip to Turkey? If Abah Din cannot settle Din Takiri's case which happened in July, then what is there for Abah Din to brag on his caning intention where his government is dragging its feet when it comes to his ministers? What is the real issue here? The real issue is Abah Din cannot afford to lose any support to prop him in his office. Let's understand that, so far he managed to secure 112 votes in Parliament. Now, let's do sime simple Arithmetics... If Din Takiri is convicted and the courts find Din Takiri breach SOP, Din may be fined and worse he may spend jailtime. If that happens, he may lose his MPship... Then we have Bossku Najib. He has been convicted and waiting for appeal. To me, he should not be attending parliament because his vote may decide the course of Malaysia history. Our future depends on a convicted fellow? Remember KuLi? So far, he has not been casting his vote in parliament to support Abah Din. What about Zahid Hamidi and Bung Kinabatangan who is not happy with the way Abah Din muscled UMNO out of Sabah CM post? You take these 5 MP out of the equation and you see why Abah Din is on unstable grounds. This leads to the question - Is Abah Din really serious in canning without fear and favour ie no "double standard"? I think Abah Din has been canned... and caning is just a beautiful word to play in his live speech... Me? I think it is time for Abah Din to make a video call and offer his resignation and let someone else take over his place... After all so many are itching to be PM9... Anwar, Zahid, Shafie Afdal and even Najib and maybe Tun M are all waiting for an invitation... Till then...G'nite M'sia...wherever u are... Read More

Of losing within winning...

I did not quit. What I did is to take a backseat and see whether GE 14 will propelled Malaysia to new heights. Unffortunately, this is not to be... Frankly, I was away when the GE14 results were trickling in. To be exact, I was not in Malaysia... With a flurry of messages, it dawned on me that BN finally toppled. Noot by any specific party but by Malaysians, regardless of race and religious beliefs. What came next is not what I aimed for. Not with the constant plodding of Anwar's supporters to push Tun Mahathir to resign. When Tun M finally resigns, it is not Anwar who came up tops but rather Muhyiddin who became PM8. Fast forward, Muhyiddin in trying to hold on to his position, offers carrots to MPs for their support. Some worked, some did not. Overall, UMNO found itself fast becoming a second class ruling party within PN government. That jolted me. Realising that many bloggers have left the original crusade and somedrifted into PN whilst some just simmered, it is time for the Nightcaller to restart its engine.... For that to happen, this old chap needs to brush cobwebs from this old computer.... be patient yea... good things don't come easy... I will be back to my usual self soon... analysing in my own way the happenings in Malaysia.... slow and steady Till then...G'nite M'sia...wherever u are... Read More
