Of panicky, panicky PASnUMNO...

Anwar's supposedly scheduled audience on 13th October invites a lot of speculation, ranging from another change of government to another "no number" from Anwar and maybe a "no show" at all...

Whilst many waited for the political power to be handed back to the deserving, there are those who fear the change. These is most true when it comes to "Kera mendapat bunga" PAS and "Sudah jatuh ditimpa tangga" UMNO...

Before we go further to those panicky guys, there is one Whatsapp message that catch my attention... Basically, the message ponders on the need for Bani Melayu to be united under Islamic Malay governance.

That is what UMNO cum PAS cum Abah Din's BERSATU cum Azmin has been hyping when they took over the government in March 2020. However, what comes out of it is not as rosy as what was previously painted and promises made by PAS remains far from reality.

Whenever there is a hint of resistance, PAS especially will trigger the fear of DAP-led government when they know pretty well that DAP could not possibly be leading the government with 42 out of 222 MPs. Yet, this is the same weapon used at every turn and corner to put uncertainties to the rural Malays. Do PAS and UMNO fare better in the past 7 months when they took the opportunity to seize the government? The nightlife is still there and worse, PAS openly reminded their supporters not to ask about hudud or RUU355 now that they are in power. Instead, PAS leaders are threatening their own party members with make-up fatwa to put fear in their members ie do not question their leaders as though PAS leaders are above all sins...

Now that PAS is on the same bed with UMNO, issues like LGBT, drunk drivers, Adib's untimely death is no longer focussed. The priority for PAS leaders now is how to secure plump GLC chairmanship... ala ghanimah (spoils of war) akin to the time when the early Muslims thought they won the battle in Uhud.

PAS boasted they have the expertise to run the government and they has a pool of resources to do better than BN or Pakatan Harapan of the past. And yet, PAS, especially, failed to produce a good and comprehensive SOP for religious activities. Singapore, with non-Islamic party in their government fare better than PN-led government which PAS is an integral part of the coalition.

The recent announcement by Anwar Ibrahim is sending jitters to UMNO. Whilst its President acknowledged the possibilities of UMNO MPs supporting Anwar's desire to be PM9, Anuar Musa who is UMNO secretary cum BN Secretary cum PN secretary rejected the news and firmly declare that UMNO is supporting Abah Din. Dear Anuar, what can prevent individual UMNO MPs from supporting AI?

If you guys are following the news, you will notice that PAS is reviving their old slogans and now again talking about RUU355, drunk driving.. and yet still silent on other issues.

Whether Anwar indeed has the numbers or not, the equation of 13th October is getting interesting. I pray for the power to be handed back to Pakatan Harapan minus Abah Din's and Azmin's factions... I don't care whether Atok Tun M is in the equation or not and I prefer him to be a constant ie independent and non-comittal to maintain his stand.

UMNO and PAS can go fly kites together and let their MPs to make judgement decision. Hadi can go back to his Marang seat whilst Din Takiri can go back to his Nerus home in his Audi. Anuar Musa can start working on his pension...

If AI is all-inclusive, he should work closely with Shafie's Warisan and put a Sabahan or a Sarawian as his deputy. But knowing AI, he may end up naming his wife (sic) as his deputy...

Me? I am not politically connected nor a member of any political party. What I yearn for is a change of government after more than 50 years under UMNO-led coalition governments. Is it too much to ask?

 Till then...G'nite M'sia...wherever u are...
